Armored Core V - Story Mode - Final Boss - Exusia

The final boss of Story Mode. I will post a cleaner win some other time - Just wanted to have this up pretty early, so please don't bother me on how I suck - I am aware. Also... When I get hit by his main flying attack (the one where he swoops down after flying around shooting misslles), it was because for some reason my glide boost didn't activate. Still getting used to controls.
Anyway, a cool final boss, despite being pretty easy. He'd be a lot tougher if his A.P didn't go down so fast, or if there was a second stage to the fight. Hope you guys enjoy.

Been listening to Stain for years but never knew which mission it was actually from, being the last boss theme is certainly worthy of that masterpiece. Also Verdict Day is a much better game, but V definitively had way better environments.

Easiest final boss ever. I simply used two heat howitzers and a rocket launcher. He was dead within seconds.

Heat Howitzers are good at killing anything but light ACs. I love them for the sound.

Either a light rj or light biped excels in this fight Use of 1 rapid fire and 1 high power ke rifle for damaging exusia When it starts flying get on the tallest building with rj and boost jump, you'll be high enough to avoid it's plasma bombs With light biped boost drive up the side of the tallest building to avoid the plasma bombs

People like you are considered Lynxs. You guys have a special attachment to the Kojima universe. Once you play those nothing feels the same. Nothing wrong with that. But i think people seem to crush ACV under the high expectation they had after 4/FA. People did the same thing to 4 in comparison to last raven for a while, called 4 too "Fantastical" I, however, consider my self a Raven and enjoy feeling like I'm pulling levers and steering a war weapon. Not being neurologically linked to one. .

I use reverse legs, myself. What I ended up doing, though, was jumping on top of a building, and when it did the bombing run, jump to the side. The bombing run doesn't really drop bombs, just cause explosions along the ground, and if I jumped away from a building I'd have enough height to clear the blast. Hopefully. More complicated than it had to be, probably, but it worked... eventually.

I understand where you are coming from, but it didn't feel like an Armored Core game at all. It felt like another mech game that was inspired by Armored Core - which I am not a fan of. AC4 and For Answer shared strong similarities with their PS2 ancestors; they just bumped up the numbers. Armored Core V lowered the numbers, changed core mechanics, and reduced skill gameplay; key components of previous games. That's what turned me and many other players away from playing it like past AC games.

i used a lightweight bipedal model equipped with dual Rifles and a CIWS shoulder unit. the generator to use here is the Ho Vital model for its super high energy recharge.and a high acceleration booster. with that you can fly around killing the guy with ease. and not worry much about its attacks.

That's really helpful and simple, All I need to do is make my design lighter, now the only problem for me is to fit enough of my original armament (Rifle, Battle Rifle, Missiles)

I used a "High Mobility bipedal" with 2 pile bunkers that do 50k+ each, when he stops for like 1.5 seconds just rush him head on and hit him with both at once, his health is only 90k so he downs in 1 hit.

Whenever it does the bombing run attack, switch to scan mode and boost drive around the lake section. But I'm a reverse leg user though, it may vary.

all you have to do to avoid his swoop attack, is to hide behind a building. his swooping blade doesn't go through buildings :) AC5 was a lot of fun but ACFA is is by far the best AC imo. arms forts ftw

It's easier to beat him in a light Biped with dual Lamps and reserve magasines. Just don't get hit by his bombing run and you're golden.

I use a quote "High Mobility Heavy Reverse Joint" and what keeps killing me is when the thing comes down from the circling Missile barrage and does the Laser Blade Charge, and I already have a hard time dodging that. Anyone got any tips on that?

You played idiots/noobs. Bladers get massacred by any gunner who knows how to quick turn. Sam wasn't making an empty threat about the Hogire either - You can bring your best mech, you'll still lose. I still do. I respect that you know what second staging is though.

V's combat pace matches that of the older games much more closely that 4 or 4A. Think of it as a return to an older style of Armored Core, but with newer graphics and with the older game's limited flight capabilities replaced with wall-jumping.

I see, haven't owned the earlier games so i didn't know. I think its the lack of free flight that bugged me, and the fact that the beam saber (whatever the sword is called) doesn't have as much range since i like to melee most of the time. It just didn't seem viable in V

It can be, depending on the build you have and how good you are at getting close to the enemy. Blading is risky, but you do a ton of damage with it. For a newcomer to the series, I'd definitely suggest to get Verdict Day before trying the older games simply because it's controls are more akin to a Third Person Shooter.

It's one thing to have an opinion (that they are the worst AC games), it is another to assert that you both know anything about it and are good. I disagree. AC5 lowered the speed drastically of Armored Core, lowered the amount of crucial game factors you had to master (chain-boosting, 2nd/3rd stages, quick turning, etc.), and made weapons easier to utilize. They tried to make the game more ascessible to more people by making it easier, but Armored Core in general has a 'cult' following. It's a disappointment to the franchise for those of us who loved Armored Core 4/For Answer.
