I was losing my mind over this cant believe I wanted to do it again but here we are, I beat him in like 3 and a half minutes less than last time. Just needed that confidence and some more tricks.

Yeah it takes a lot of efficiency, especially during 3rd phase, pulse blade is your best friend. In my old run where I knew of fewer openings, I ran out of ammo towards the end.

Iguazu is the cipher for every player that gets part unlocks and upgrades and gets their ass handed to them then blames it on other players. But for a spate of bad luck, a whole lot of insecurity, and a bit of player plot armor, he had it in him to leave a legacy that'd have matched 621's.

Aight, I can get to phase 3 with a good chunk of AP and repair kits now, thanks to this video. Time to sit back and study your phase 3 dodges! Do you have any tips on the best punish windows to learn first in phase 3?

Glad I could help! To start, I think the best ones are probably the one at 3:38 where he comes out with a claw and then slides and jumps back up for a \|/ slash, and the four hit claw sword combo. These give the most damage and are the easiest to pull off I’d say. And while the first one i mentioned at 3:38 only happened twice, I’d still say both are pretty common. The thing is is that the assault rifle alone is terrible at building stagger but if you’ve hit him with the pulse blade, it builds up much faster and will let you properly punish his stagger. And from what I’ve experienced if you just keep shooting him for too long his stagger might just flat out go back to 0. And especially with that one move where he thrusts forward with the \|/ and then makes you jump between those waves, moving a lot in the process, it’s hard to keep it up. Once you’ve learned those two, it should be a lot quicker. But another really really good one that happened frequently here is the one where he teleports next to you and slashes. This one was very tricky for me because you can’t preemptively dodge once you’ve seen how it comes out, you have to stick with the timing. It’s a bit tight but with some practice you can get it. Just don’t boost and IMMEDIATELY pulse blade because that won’t give you enough space to get away. Once you know when it comes out just give yourself some kind of internal timing like dodging a moment after he teleports next to you. But with that his stagger should build a lot faster, and it makes you look cool. That variation of 3:38 where he does the grounded \|/ slash, it only comes out (as far as I know) if you change your direction (like moving left but then moving stick to the right so there’s a moment where you stop). That’s the trick with this move is that you can manipulate it. If you stay back far enough and boost forward once you see him jump without making any stop to your movement, you should be able to get a fully charged pulse blade. In most cases the one where he jumps is the more preferable one. Also that attack where he approaches you with the claw before slashing is a bit weird. You CAN dodge it and get a fully charged pulse blade, but imo the perfect timing is too hard and can get you hit by lasers, which actually do a LOT of damage if you’re still. And that’s not good when you’re already very low on health. If you’ve learned the other ones consistently you shouldn’t need it. But if his stagger is lowering or something you can do it to save yourself. I hope this helped and wasn’t too vague or confusing!

The second and specially the third phase of this fight is the only boss in this game that had me drop the controller and get my mouse in order to keep up with how fast Iguazu jumps around me. My mouse speed is set to 1500dpi may I add!! Amazing game overall. The way you dodge is impressive btw

This is probably way too old for this but I have more than a few things Im dying to know from mr Woop. Like, would you say this fight (specifically with the restrictions) is rng dependent or do you think with optimal human play you can win this every time? If there is some rng what percent of the time playing optimally (again human not tas) do you think this fight can be beaten?

It can be beaten fairly consistently normally, even more if you aren’t doing no repair kits. Phase 1 is a bit of a slog and you take way more damage than you really should trying to finish off the stagger bar. Phase 2 is fine, only real problem is the spinning move which sometimes isn’t clear when it’s coming out. Here I totally saw it but screwed myself lol. Phase 3 is definitely the most consistent. Despite that though, recently when I go back to allmind with this preset the fight feels weird. Maybe I’m just rusty at it but yeah something about it feels off. Funnily enough fromsoft actually made a kinda clear change to the fight. Before iguazu would make the “what makes you special” comment at 1/4 health, but now he does it after he says all of his intro to phase 3 dialogue, no matter what health he’s at. Weird. Thanks for the comment, I’d love to answer more of your questions :)

Lighter weight acs help with the timing for avoiding, but even a mid weight can reliably dodge if you really know it

One simple trick is to jump towards the 3 bladed attack and not away from it. It will miss you easily if do it in time.

My dude that was sick, I think the most impressive thing is the usage of the assault rifle to maintain the stagger meter so it didnt drop much and strategically choosing the most ideal spots (areas where he was animation locked after a 5-6 hit combo or after a charge strike) to go in for the blade strikes. Hes tough. I just beat him yesterday in about 10 tries, and that was like the same amount of retries I had in the rest of the game. His phase 3 attacks are right from the souls series. You cant outrun or tank through them, you need to learn dodge patterns.

I did this challenge before this video, but the fight was like 3 minutes longer than what you see here and I didn’t really like it and wanted to make it better. What really helped is this just being my favorite fight, because of last phase alone, there’s a ton of depth to it. But don’t get me wrong I put in SOOOO many hours into this, across all the challenges and preset builds vs allmind, definitely like 40+ A significant amount of my playtime is just this fight. You aren’t bad or anything, you just need persistence and a whole bunch of time. There were a few days where I just grinded for several hours and couldn’t get anywhere, but the next day I would really have it all together. Also I’m not sure how many hours I have in the game, it annoys me. I’m on ps4 but I don’t think it has an option to show playtime.

Well anyway right now in playing armored core 4a and have been stuck on the white glint hard mode fight. Although I think 4A has more emphasis on good build over pilot, im not sure though. Wow that's crazy you can do this. I spent hours tryin to beat this with any build and everything else in the game I usually beat first try. Its like this whole fight is easy until he starts swinging the sword 3rd phase. The only way I was able to beat him was with tons of health and shields tanking sword shots. I could dodge some of them. But he just keeps coming until he kills you. This to me was the most annoying fight in the whole game because of that.

It’s not something you’re used to seeing to that extent of aggression for sure and it’s fair to be annoyed by it, but its also extremely fun learning to actually keep up with him. One of the main reasons I wanted to do this was to show that 3rd phase IS consistent along with showing some cool openings. When you look at it like that, the fights pretty great and can bring a good challenge. Honestly when I beat him the first time I felt like I only knew how to dodge like a third of the moves. So I went back and eventually decided to do this challenge. Only real “problem” with the boss is that everyone rushes it down which is more player choice or feeling overwhelmed by third phase.

@@woop348I could get to the 3rd phase super fast with almost all my health because I did it so many times. The first two parts are easy. I never bought a single health upgrade the entire game. Never a need since I try to S rank missions as I get them. I try not to use recharges. I spent an hour the first day and gave up. I couldn't believe how ridiculous the last part was. Only because his sword takes off so much and he keeps coming. After awhile the first part felt like a waste of time. Because I could get to phase 3 with full health and still lose. The next day I gave in and bought the health upgrades and still had trouble although I was close. So next I went all tank build health and shields and finally beat him. By dodging and tanking the sword to stun him. Defiantly not the Raven way. I usually use one fast Ac the entire game. But at that point I just wanted to beat it by any means possible.

My favorite part about your comment is that it’s wrong. In phase 1, 2 of the adds have daggers and are far more aggressive than the other 2, which just shoot missiles (so I never went for them since it’s not worth it). Also the spiders are literally avoided by flying up when the beep is coming. The only one that’s harder to dodge is when they spin, which I lost a good chunk of my health over and very much did get hit. Maybe think about it more before commenting something so wrong.
