Как будто не хватает какого-то веса и инерции что ли, от земли же всё-таки отталкивается при беге, а тушка немалая при такой броне... А я ещё и не разбираюсь во всей этой теме и сижу тут умничаю. That is an amazing result, man! Congrats on finishing the project, it's really impressive that it was all done in Blender! I'm wondering how did you manage to determine the scale of Shiganshina and with the overall layout of streets to be positioned properly?
@sintelaris Жыл бұрын
So... I took a lot of screenshots of episode 2 season 1 (basically around the action in the video), googled a lot of references and by the end of it gathered about 100 images total. The PureRef file weighs 180 MB. The layout of the streets is semi-original and I added a lot of my vision to it. My version of Shiganshina is about 5 times bigger than the original since otherwise Armored Titan would run through it in about 10 seconds :D P.S. Armored Titan speed is 250 km/h at its peak
@AlexiosLair Жыл бұрын
@@sintelaris the thing is I'm doing Shiganshina in UE5 myself and I found there's a lot of confusion in references. Many of them confuse Trost with Shiganshina apparently :D Also the scale is an interesting thing, Shiganshina in S1 is different in scale than S4, this is very noticeable by the height of walls which is probably the only constant so far haha. I really like the layout you picked! It's not too dense, but dense and diverse enough to express the overall style of the city.
@realmale07 Жыл бұрын
@@AlexiosLairits hard to make the scaling right in anime(s) since its all 2D and/or CGI so I can assume that scaling is also hard in UE. Good luck on your project though!

Great work! Only thing I have a very slight issue with, (although it might just be me) is the pacing of the titan running at certain parts of the video feel slightly off, that's the best why I can describe it, it just feels a bit slow and unnatural, a bit linear if you will. maybe some variation in the arms swaying, a little more camera shake, a little variation in the distance between the keyframes, but overall, its great!!
@sintelaris Жыл бұрын
Yeah I got your point, it is valid. The problem with the fact that it feels a little bit unnatural is that this was my first time rigging and I didn't want to go too extreme with the movement since I didn't want to break it (Clipping polygons and mesh through each other). The pacing is a little bit off because it was supposed to be synchronized with the footsteps from the original audio and 0.5 seconds might be too much of a time between the steps, but maybe it is just my lack of experience.
@ifnarta Жыл бұрын
My take is the Titans doesn't feel like it have massive weight, since the movement is as smooth as a normal human. The movement is too smooth, unlike something at that size should have been. But hey, it's incredibly good for a first-timer!

This whole shot was wild. For example, to make it look similar to the original I made the camera FoV extremely low. To make Armored Titan look fine in the shot I was testing several positions based on the step sounds. So basically I synchronized steps with the audio first and then tried to put them in a way so it makes sense since otherwise feet would be too far apart from each other and Armored would look like it does a leg-split :D

The Armored Titan seems to lack momentum and weight in its movement, in the Anime shit looks like a freight train here it kinda just seems like he's moving 2 - The human characters look a bit off too (Not just the facial expressions I know they're hard but everything else about them) I am nitpicking tho and tbh I'd have no idea how you would go about fixing these but it does look really good keep at it 👏
