Armortek leopard 2 - new tyre day

New tyres are in for the Armortek Leopard 2.
27 of the 28 tyres became loose after a short while running in the pretty wet conditions. The bonding surface isn’t enough in my opinion. I used the loctite 480 and all surfaces were cleaned and roughed up before being bonded. Tyres were also clamped for 24 hrs so I did try.
New tyres are made in a way that is far superior and has plenty of bonding surface. In fact I think they could be installed without bonding but I’m not taking that chance.

Well done mate. I have filled the gap with a rubber stripe before install the tyre with very strong double-side tape used for carpet. Some said he used Loctile 638 or 480. Anyway , Filling that gap is the necessary step. Thanks for sharing the footage.

@@FABIANJERRYTHEDUTCH Liam Mahoney on the Armortek forum made them for me. I didn’t like the original design and didn’t like any of the bodges I was thinking about to get over the issue. Yes it cost me but I’m more than happy with the result.

BTW , there is no side rear mirrors whatsoever in the kit. I don't know the reason for missing these two obvious parts.
