She’s not “evil” per say. Coyle’s just really crazy, has an eccentric yet mean-spirited personality, and is totally obsessed with both ARMS and her work. If anything, she’s mostly chaotic neutral. Yeah, she created Hedlok and Springtron but she’s also a sponsor of the ARMS tournament, she’s the head scientist of the ARMS Lab, she created Helix and the Party Crash mode, and she was the one who revived Master Mummy (albeit losing his memory in the process.) If she was truly an evil person, she would be treated like some type of wanted criminal to both the eyes of the public and the media instead of being praised and adored like a big name celebrity.

9:25 Is that Coyle's past? I can try make a backstory. Backstory: Days ago before Dr. Coyle made its first appearance. She was a human scientist of ARMS technology. She was one of the inventors creating the weapons. She made Max Brass have the stretchy arms and used it for good and for testing until a new sport was added. The sport was for the ARMS. Max Brass felt like he wanted some justice, but Coyle was left behind. She wanted to join the fight, but the new sport made her insane. She decide to hide her identity around anyone and became the main villain. She invented a weapon called HEDLOK, a master weapon to destroy any ARMS fighter. Unfortunately, Hedlok had the same hate for Max Brass and wanted to rule like Coyle, so he fled to another area. While Coyle's alone, she terrorizes every ARMS event. Everyone feared her. She invented her own weapons and had a fist that looks like baby Hedlok. Her only goal is to rule the ARMS league and end the madness. All I know is that Coyle is just insane, restless being.

Actually, Hedlok was made to be the ultimate sparring companion to the ARMS fighters, but while they were testing Hedlok at ARMS lab it went haywire and went to attack Max Brass… oooor maybe Dr.Coyle remotely controlled Hedlok to use Hedlok on Max Brass as a “field test”. ( also, Coyle hates Max because they used to date but broke up and she is kinda insane so one thing led to the other until she wanted to destroy Max)

Have you noticed? In the End Picture she is a normal human with normal arms but in the game she has ARMS arms. And at 0:46 Biff says that she experimented on herself. So this might imply that she gave those arms to herself which would mean that she was so insane and obsessed that she cut off her own arms to attach the ARMS arms to her body. Quite disturbing yet interesting to have that kind of development in this otherwise quite story-lacking game. Well, it´s still just a theory.

I dunno if it's randomly cycled in, or if it has to do with fighting them on their home turf instead of on [NAME REDACTED], or even the difficulty being played on, but I distinctly remember seeing Coyle's research notes on snakeboards and their safety mechanisms, Min Min's family's secret recipe, and the reanimation of Master Mummy (implying she's the reason he came back to life and lost his memories).

They said theyd continue updates til next year. Maybe they rushed all the characters since not enough people bought it?

It sold well enough (it should be at about 1.5 million units by now, I believe). Also, I keep hearing people say that they thought updates were going to last a year, but that was never said. Spla2n is getting updates through the first year, though, and Splatfests for at least 2, so I guess that's where the confusion comes in. That said, this is just the end of major, content focused updates. The game will still be getting balance patches, and Party Crashes will continue to be held.
