Well technically, there are approximately 3-4 Kirby lore youtubers who garner mediocre amounts of views, and 1 ARMS lore youtuber that garners mediocre view counts, so ARMS ain't far off I guess. It's a good start for a 1-game canon.

I read a theory that Dr. Coyle is not only Max Brass's ex-wife, but Spring Man's mother, and that she and Brass divorced when Spring Man was very young, leaving him with no knowledge or memory of his true parents. The theory also stated that she may have created Springtron because she was disappointed in her son not being good enough at ARMS fighting, so she created a better version of him so that her ego could be satisfied. They're also the only characters that have their eye color the same as their hair color. Though I'm not too sure how much weight that theory holds, especially after watching these videos...
@gamecrashersinkorporated41344 жыл бұрын
You're not the only one who wants to research ARMS lore anymore! I was always interested in playing the game back in it's early days. In my interest, I even drew an OC named 'Jumper'. He's a fighter whose arms are automobile jumper cables and whose ARMS weapons are electric gloves with the 'positive' and 'ground' symbols on the left and right gloves respectively. But I digress. I unfortunately never got to play ARMS until a couple of days after the convenient free trial was announced. I had so much fun playing the game, and I will definitely buy it at some point! When I learned that Dr. Coyle has a beef with Max Brass, I was intrigued, and so, my inner Gravity Falls fan naturally wanted to investigate for more information. Looks like you did most of research and explanation. This series on the lore of ARMS was excellent and well put together! I have subscribed not only to your theory about the Misangans being the first human civilization to have been granted the ARMS ability, but to your channel as well. Perhaps, if we ever get a sequel to ARMS, the new fighters would give us greater insight on the ARMS ability's behavior. Maybe, in the same light as Dr. Coyle, the final DLC fighter in such a game would be the 'major dot connector' in terms of their contribution to the lore of the ARMS universe. What if said fighter is a full-bodied "Misangan Spirit", one of the aliens that gifted Earth the ARMS ability, or at least a member of that species, thus proving your theory correct? We'll have to wait and see, but if we live in that timeline where it should happen, that'll be INSANE!!! Additionally, the points you made about a very possible connection between Biff and the Misangans were a real eye opener! My theory, based on yours, is that Biff is a creation of the Spirits sent to Earth to see what the planet has done with the ARMS ability since they left. The reason for his lack of understanding is that he was put on Earth with no explanation, implying he was left there soon after he was born. I think it could be the case. After all, Biff is not a plant nor an animal, and he's very clearly not a human being [the hand on his head that he can willingly move says that much]. He's pretty alien-like to me. Whatever he is though, it's important to note that, evident in the images with his 3D model, Biff has the ARMS ability himself. Heh, heh, who's to say the little guy wouldn't put up a fight? Biff for Smash Ultimate in June?! Probably not. Anyway, these were great videos. Now that I'm excited for ARMS much more than I was back then, perhaps I should draw Jumper again and give him a reimagined look. I also just came up with a monkey fighter who has awakened the ARMS ability in his legs and walks around on his actual arms. By the way, if you're going to make lore series for other franchises, Sonic The Hedgehog is my suggestion. You'll find something quite interesting written about the Japanese manual for Sonic 2... Thank you for this series, Sarks! It was really entertaining! I wish you good luck on your future endeavors.

If it was possible to "double love" a comment I would. Thank you for your kind words, friend. Your passion and excitement for this stuff makes me really glad that I spend the time that I do researching and poring over hundreds of text documents. I'll take your recommendation into account! The older Sonic games, at least, are an excellent point of conversation. I appreciate your viewership.
@gamecrashersinkorporated41344 жыл бұрын
@@Sarcasmus I believe the newer Sonic games have some interesting plot points as well. I know modern Sonic is a touchy subject as the blue blur's fanbase is among the pickiest in gaming [to my dismay], but I tend enjoy Sonic games no matter what the gameplay style is. Fans need to be a little more open-minded. Besides, a lore video wouldn't dive much into the gameplay. Anyway, I think the newest installments especially have a grand connection to the lore via the Phantom Ruby. Of all places, it was first found right on the coastline of Angel Island. That can't be a coincidence... But back to ARMS, what do you think of my Biff hypothesis or my ideas for fan-made fighters? Most importantly, what do you believe Dr. Coyle will do next, should ARMS continuity be extended somehow?
@Sarcasmus4 жыл бұрын
@@gamecrashersinkorporated4134 creative ideas. I was always keen on the idea of Yabuki adding in an animal fighter, considering the ARMS ability can be given to pretty much anything. Jumper sounds cool too, neat concept. Your Biff theory is an interesting one, I don't think that's out of the question at all. There's even a gallery image depicting Biff as some ancient figure, seemingly observing a fight (as he does). If ARMS 2 ever comes out, I can expect some alien-species entering the roster to compete in the tournament. As far as what I think Coyle will do if there's a sequel... that's sort of hard to place. We aren't even sure which Grand Prix is actually canon. Assuming Spring Man's is, she would probably come up with some other way to cheat her way to the end. She won't try Hedlok ever again, because she calls that thing useless if you listen to her endgame dialogue. It would be a really neat narrative development if she were to reconcile her differences with Max--I'd be open to that. It'd be interesting to see how Yabuki would handle a sequel, considering the game really doesn't have a solid canonical ending.

This is a very old video. But I think the fabric and wood of Misango's spirit, was actually a form of vessel created for it by the Misangans. or that ARMS is a supernatural energy and the spirit is metaphysically woven out of this energy giving it life and then given a form to suit it's nature.
@Sarcasmus Жыл бұрын
Hey, really interesting speculation. The video may be old but I’m always checking the comments. :) Glad I encouraged you to give your two cents.
@Sarcasmus Жыл бұрын
And to further comment, tribal nations like these are known to usually craft little effigies like that. It wouldn’t be out of the question that the visual similarity and misangan motifs are superimposed onto the spirit rather than part of the spirit itself.

I found your vids through the ARMS reddit, excellent stuff! I feel like Biff is really half of the whole, he's rather consistently depicted as having an anatomical-right hand on his head but it is possible there is a left-handed-Biff (Bop?) I would put my money on either Biff's amnesia as a facade or he's unable to remember because Bop is missing and could be a planned character (commentator co-star?) in a possible ARMS 2.
@Sarcasmus4 жыл бұрын
LOVE THAT IDEA. I'm all for a "Bop" character, going with the onomatopoeic comic-book trend. Remaining oblivious to obvious signs in the face of the Misangans may indicate a sort of "feigned ignorance" on Biff's part ... interesting! Thanks for the input!

For Master Mummy and the potential connection to the guy on the picture, I think it IS Master Mummy. Let me explain why: It is said that if you remove the mask, then the arms become unstable. But you can't keep a mask while being dead. also I highly doubt Coyle has the ability to resurrect a skeleton more likely to be a recent body.

Are you sure it’s the arms ability she gave him and not the means to control it It seems to me that he has something metallic screwed on his head, this could be a prototype for the control system that would be used in making headcase, Master mummy would not only be strong enough to withstand any flaws in the device, but also since he is not a living thing less likely to cause fatal injury and loss of data Also don’t forget that you said that the spiral eyes are evidence of his natural obtainment of the ability Just putting my thoughts out on this

I don't feel as though Coyle gave MM his ARMS ability given the words used, but rather, she would revived him to watch over an impressive fighter and see what progress he makes---how he grows and changes, what he is capable of, et cetera. Sadly, that would kinda gut a lot of what you purposed, ahaha---at least in regards to a lot of what ties into MM.
