The more accurate shock isn't that they don't have core fireteams, it's that as a vanilla faction they actually get harris teams :P

Qapu Khalqi: We have guest stars to make our Teams cheap and flexible. Other Factions: We'll be copying that! Steel Phalanx: We can make as many Teams as we like. Other Factions: We'll be copying that too! Tohaa: We can make multiple mixed Fireteams with selections from half our dudes. Other Factions: Yeah, yeah, we're nicking that as well. When the Other Factions tire of their TAG+Engineer or Motorcycle+Remote Duos, you know they will clamor for Haris and Cores as well. I give it until Adepticon 2023, personally.

@@lysander3262 considering vanilla only had duos through all of N3 and people were fine with it I don't expect them getting anythig more than that. The main distinguishing feature of sectorials is fireteam bonuses.

In case anyone's trying these out right now, as of late 2023, some of these exact lists can't be built because they increased the cost of GRIEF-OPs by 1. Grabbing the cheapest Krakot in the second list and a Spitfire Sakiel instead of Viral Combi in the third list are some options.

I would like to build a Pure Tohaa army but they're a little sparse with no Tag as they've discontinued. What proxies would you recommend for the Sakiel, Makaul & Gorgos etc. Most of the others mini's are at still available. Unless I buy the same available boxes & paint them differently or use the spiral corps as proxies???

Nice video, but should have mentioned one of the Gorgos greatest weakness: it's an unrepairable TAG. You could have also dedicated a couple of minutes to talk about some other solo-attack-pieces like the Rasail and the Kiel-chan. And there is always the Igao, Tohaa's frenzy cheap Ninja that is an absolute beast in CC.

I just happen to disagree 😁*** Man, taking the +1 order Taquel instead of the +1 command token? Crazy-sauce. Between reforming fireteams, and turning diplomat’s order regular, you’ll use all 5. Ectros is also a rough sell for me. Sukeul or Draal are so much better pointmen. Greif should rhyme with strife. While we’re trying to correct pronunciation of fake words, should probably get real ones right 😜 No Jaan Starr!?!? What? He’s so good! Paramedics and doctors are such a waste in Tohaa. Nearly everything you want to get back up has lost all of their good stuff since they’ve transformed.

While I appreciate the disclaimer, I understand that criticism =/= negativity. I am sure the vast majority of our wonderful community does as well, or should!! -I wanted to feature some lesser-seen profiles in appropriate contexts, so highlighting the potential synergy between the rarely seen Ectros with the often seen Taqeul was too tempting to pass up. -I did want to utilize Jaan in the Area Control list, as he is much more reliable at taking out whatever Trooper will bother the Gorgos most. However, I may have gotten a little 'lost in the sauce' to accommodate the double Sakiels. A downgrade of one of them to a Kamael or, more likely, a Makaul should provide ample points for our favorite Infiltrator. -Having no primary source for why Greif are named Greif, and confident that it's not a word from Vaarso Battlespeak, I will happily concede that I have no idea how to pronounce Greif. Thank you for the correction! -I wouldn't fault anyone for taking FO's over Paramedics, but I will defend the Kumotail. The most important thing regained from any Trooper brought back to consciousness is their Points! More valuable than any amount of Mimetism or Dodge (+3)'s on Killing or Area Control Missions. The returned Orders for Turns 2-3 are also valuable. There's obviously an opportunity cost: 27 pts between the Doctor and her Servants can buy a lot of great stuff in our Faction. @@lysander3262, glad to hear it! Thanks for the video, and the reasonable response. For the healing Tohaa units: generally the returned orders are less that what one spends to get them. I will bring the kumotail on missions that have a lot of classifieds, but I almost never try bringing up another unit. Paramedics in particular have a hard time justifying their usage, when Tohaa has such anemic PH scores, on average. While I agree that bodies and points are nice, especially in missions where points matter (annihilation, domination zone missions, etc.), other factions get that, as well as peak performance out of their targets. (Thinking of star units like Achilles, where I almost always take a doctor to make sure he lasts as long as possible.) Greif Operators are named after Operation Greif (WWII). "Greif" is german, and the ei sound is a hard i, like in Einstein. Also, I'm calling Makaul "Mah-call" forever! Fight me! :P
