Auto-generated closed captions: Hi I'm left-hand Herron and this is how to say dry under a batter. This passionate position is set up like a tent. And that was how to stay dry under a butter.

I went to army cadets led to an 18 year career in the Royal marines and it does help to have a bit of nolage before hand Proper planning prevents poor performance

How to stay dry under a basha, ends with has good range of fire, lol.

I do like these videos, but when you say that one of the corners is to be held down by a 'rock'..... firstly wouldn't it be better to encourage cadets to invest in a couple of pegs and secondly the areas where cadets basha up are not, in my experience, renowned for their convenient supply of rocks - and the structure would collapse were you to push against it as the rocks would be displaced - if you're recommending bungies - which is a good idea - may I suggest you extol the virtues of pegs as opposed to those elusive rocks?

I understand this comment was made 3 years ago, but when I was taught about the Basha, they recommended we use tent pegs or some good sticks 👍
@Climpus Жыл бұрын
@@Shleebster My experience is that 'good sticks' are very rare in the wood blocks used by cadets on training area - they are rotten and unsuitable - you can't cut from living trees so that leaves scavenging for something and a heavy rain storm will lead to the collapse of the basha. Pegs are the only secure way to erect a basha if you want to ensure it's still in one piece come the dawn.
@Shleebster Жыл бұрын
@@Climpus yeah I thought it was stupid too, but it's okay because we're doing fieldcraft tonight and I brought 20 tent pegs so that I can give them to anybody who doesn't have them haha
@Climpus Жыл бұрын
@@Shleebster Excellent - Cadets need people like you who look to helping the whole team rather than just their own needs. I'm surprised your Det. doesn't have them to issue - cash to buy them could come from NAAFI profits - pegs aren't expensive. Next thing is get green extendable bivvi poles so you only have to find one tree - not two the right distance apart where you're told to put up the basha.

throw the stuff sack away or use it for something else ... takes to long to get it packed away , leave all the stings attached place them towards the middle of the tarp roll it up slide in your pack dismantled and packed away in under a minute when done right

Buy your own basha for £25 on Ebay and with a couple of poles, some bungies and pegs, all your troubles (in this scenario) fade away

Welcome to the woke army, they'll provide you with a rain cover but you must provide the rocks. Typical forces under supply the main force and ask cadets to supply there own rocks.

You don't know what 'woke' means do you...
@mrleigh198212 жыл бұрын
@@Ukraineaissance2014 yes I'm referring to an army that puts racial/political agendas before there recruits/service men ie it is my belief that the army is now a political tool rather than an army that puts there uniformed service men and women first. So before you put a argument up think first. Typical left. Oh and social justice be it good or bad. Lmao poor lefty.
