Thanks for this! Great memories! Class 87-15, graduated March 88. Thirty eight years now, still flying and loving it. But it all started with the Army. Miss it.

Great memories for me! WOCS 91-02 and Flight Class 91-10 Grey Flight ' 8 balls.' Tracked UH-60A halfway through IERW. *Several in our class snuck out one night and painted the GIANT 8-ball on the abandoned bridge south of Lowe AHP that some of you saw in 1991. It became 'ACP 8-ball' for a while after that.

Not much has changed. My flight commander says almost the exact same script every morning. 23-008 in the lakotas!

How long was all of the flight training back then.... from wocs through advanced? thanks

@@huskyaonecee7568 If I remember correctly, it was about 14ish months total. Went through WOCS, had a three week break before starting Flight School. I went through AH-1 Cobra transition and that was one month longer than the other tracks. Kind of a bummer because we were WOCs until finishing flight school and did not get our bars until graduation. My understanding that things have changed including how flight school is organized.

@@huskyaonecee7568 I wish I could help you more with current information. I have been retired from the Army for a while now. I will tell you that going to flight school was a real career advancement and no regrets. Good luck for your son.

Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling, By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore, “Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou,” I said, “art sure no craven, Ghastly grim and ancient Raven wandering from the Nightly shore- Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night’s Claytonian shore!”

They still had those old TVs in 2004/05. Had a lot of dust on them though.

That was my primary class. I see my stick buddy, John Williams in the first row, far left…we used to call him “big head” cuz he had a huge freaking head. Steve Tucker was called upon, got the answer wrong….a good guy who later became a real creep. Had some great talent in that class…lots of great memories. Wow, what a find on KZbin.
