The marines have created this brilliant association with Christmas. They are always viewed next to Santa Clause at Christmas Parades. And the Toy's for Tots efforts. Honestly, as a leftist (and gay) I wouldn't want to join the army no matter what ad they bring out. The only way I'd want to join the army is if they truly served a defensive purpose, instead of actively invading countries for oil and other corporate/economic interests. The US army cannot appeal to a young left-wing audience with woke idpol, because we know that (for the most part) they're not a force for good and freedom.
