Kelp forests are awesome! They are typically found in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California and are home to a diversity of ocean life, everything from invertebrates like starfish, sea cucumbers and sea urchins and giant pacific octopuses and cuttlefish to cartilaginous fishes like sevengill sharks, sixgill sharks, horn sharks, stingrays and leopard sharks and great white sharks, shortfin mako sharks and great hammerhead sharks to bony fishes like Garibaldi, groupers, mackerel and barracudas plus ocean sunfish and reptiles like green sea turtles and leatherback sea turtles, and marine mammals like humpback whales, blue whales, pacific white sided dolphins, common bottlenose dolphins, killer whales/Orcas, steller sea lions, California sea lions, Northern fur seals and sea otters (Who are my absolute favorites) and seabirds like puffins and seagulls. I have seen all these animals at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California as well as the kelp forest in the Pacific Ocean right next door to the Monterey Bay Aquarium! Heck kelp forests and their animals in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California even appeared in Finding Dory (2016) the hyper-famous sequel to Finding Nemo (2003). My dream is to go scuba-diving in the kelp forests of California and see all its animals mentioned above like my idol marine biologist and oceanographer Sylvie Earle as well as John Sparks a marine biologist from the AMNH.

Despite being more closely related to us than insects, I can't seem to relate as much to a starfish as I would, say, a grasshopper. At least some of the latter's body parts come in pairs. Great video nonetheless. Looks similar to stop-motion. Fascinating.
