Generating elements for your party members can be nice.For example the geminate has some trouble generating their own elements, so it can be nice if a party member generates elements for them. For move cards, you can use them to get your summons back to safety after they have attacked. It can be a good tactic if you're going with the big summon build. At level 7 you could consider going back for the other level 6 card if you're doing the big summon build. Being able to give your big summon a move 4 can be pretty usefull. I think wailing from beyond can be pretty good in a curse build. Adding 2 or 3 curses to the enemy deck with it should be pretty easy. And muddle really helps with getting those curses drawn. The bottom of unforgivable methods is one of the few cards that the boneshaper can use to heal herself. I think it is an option to pick it over solid bones. Just let the skeletons die, heal up and summon new ones.

Thanks for the feedback, you make some good points. I've so far had pretty good success keeping my big summon alive as things stand. I definitely get the creating elements for your party, but that depends an awful lot on composition. I'm playing Boneshaper as my third class, and everyone else is playing locked classes that don't need those particular elements much. I do also like the idea of trying a curse build with the class, but with so many other classes I haven't played I don't know if I want to go with this one again!

I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching. For some reason this class guide just doesn't get as many views as my others. It's too bad, I LOVE the boneshaper.

I think I commented on one of your others that my kids are planning on playing Drifter, Banner Spear and possibly Blink Blade when we get Frosthaven. My daughter that's thinking Blink Blade may want to do Boneshaper or Deathwalker. If she does Deathwalker or Blink Blade I'm thinking I may do Boneshaper because it would work well with Banner Spear. I really like Deathwalker though... haha Again, thanks for the videos!!

The drifter alone with help the Banner Spear, so don't choose based on just that alone. I never played the Deathwalker, and it's one of the classes I've seen the least of in my group. One of our members is playing it now but he is only level 3 currently so I don't have a good sense of the class yet. I will say I LOVED playing the Boneshaper. The aesthetic of the class really works for me, and I enjoyed sitting back in relative safety most of the time and commanding my undead minions to get things done. Again, I don't think you can go wrong, and as always have fun!

Are you controlling the movement of your summons with the "grant movement" action? Don't you only get to control the movement, if it specifically says so? Take "Approach oblivion" as an example.

When you Grant an attack or movement to a summon in Frosthaven you do get to control the movement. That was NOT the case in Gloomhaven.

Question. For endless numbers, can you comment on the ways you can get your shambling skeletons to end their turn on this summons?
@PTD-Gaming10 ай бұрын
The best way is using your various grant movement abilities. You have a few bottom actions that do this, as well as some top action move and attack granting actions to use. They can also naturally end on it in some cases. For instance, if the hex that the endless numbers summon occupies is a valid hex for an attack, a skeleton could and would end its move there. Some of your allies can also grant movement for your skeletons. Thanks for watching!

I don’t understand why you’d want to use a lot of curses since your summons are drawing modifiers from the monster deck anyway.
@PTD-Gaming7 ай бұрын
I hate to tell you this, but you've been playing it wrong. Summons use the Boneshaper's attack modifier deck. That's why the strong attack modifier deck you can build via perks is so important.

@@PTD-Gaming I haven’t played frosty at all yet, just trying to figure out which class to play when I do. Glad to know that rule change, it makes a lot more sense.
@BoKruse3 ай бұрын
@@jasonls2 It's not a rule change, as far as I know. Summons always used the player's deck.

@@BoKruse glad I never played a summoning class in Gloomhaven then.
