I'm like your Nostalgia dealer for video games. In retrospect, this might be one of the greatest 3rd person shooters of all time. Why? The game is flooded with excellent features that others don't have. 1. The game's controls feel incredible, and it does so without any reliance of auto aim or aim assist. The excellent cover system, switching shoulders, blind fire, spray n Pray, or precise aiming. They got it nailed down here. 2. You can grab enemies, get them to surrender, tie them up or do what I do, shoot them in the face. There's also these really fun hostage situations and the way you get it done is really too. You can also pretend to surrender to an enemy and then quickdraw or command your buddy to take them out for you. 3. The weapon customization is off the rails and awesome. If you want to deck out a Vector or P90 with a long barrel and a large mag, you can do it. 4. The game has these extraordinary choice moments where you come across people in the story, and each choice has its unique story tied to it. Sometimes you'll get caught off guard with these, and it goes in a cool Graphic Novel Cinematic to show the whole arc. 5. If you are playing solo, your partner Ai is incredible and will follow all your orders easily. The game has a fantastic simple command system that is straightforward and valuable, which is VERY HARD to do right in games with commandable AI. Sometimes when you play a game like Socom, Ghost Recon, or Brothers In Arms, the commands can feel complicated, and you feel like setting the options at "Fire At Will" to make it easier just because it's not worth the hassle of using those games features. However, in this game it all feels great to use and simple. You can tell your dude to pick up a shield, man a turret, go for the objective, follow you, ask them to fire at will, or fire when fired upon; yet, it's so simple. Army of Two always felt like a game that nailed the commands in a way that was easy to use and got the results you wanted. Conclusion: This game is fantastic, and I've just been going through some old games because modern games aren't that appealing like this. I'm a basic dude who enjoys excellent shooters like this, and it makes you feel badass. Too bad there aren't enough new games like this, but instead it's all Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Cyberpunk, and Steampunk. Dystopian, RPG, Spongy enemies with health bars, XP markers, grind, and all that stuff sucks. It's fun sometimes, but when it's the ONLY thing that is releasing, those aren't the games that got me into video games, nor are they the games that built this channel. Let me know what your favorite game that gives off those vibes are or tell me what you liked about this game.

Army of Two (40th Day) has got a lot goin' on, Karma/Honor system, gun and mask customization, Various Co-op mechanics, Feign Death, different endings. It's honestly impressive. I wish more games had that level of care when it comes to it. That, and some good AI partners, I do like me some AI partners that can carry their weight without my constant babysitting.

Yesterday i played Split Second through the PS Plus Premium PS3 streaming and its so. Fucking. Good. Its unbelievable how good it is for a 2010 game. Could come out today remastered, id buy it. So i was already in a nostalgic mood, and now you post Army of Two which is another great game from that era.

I wish i still had my 360. There were so many amazing games for 360 and PS3. 7th generation was a glorious era for gaming. probably the last great era.
