Scott Underdonk told me that when he was in 2nd Batt, they had gone someplace in South or Central America and everybody came back with a "souvenir" blowgun. It was all fun and games until they lite up the UPS driver. Scott said it was like one of the old pirate movies when they ran the guns out, every casement window in the barracks flipped open, the blowguns came out and oriented on the driver and fired.

My Squad/Team Leader decided it would be a fun time if we all got myself to get up with a friend of mine from my Hometown, get some LSD and the Entire Team dropped acid and wear all of our 7Bs while we 'peaked' inside the barracks. It was the one thing that stopped my 'unacknowledged hazing'. When an 'Import' has to coach his Team Leader down from a bad trip, immediately seen as a 'team player'. I later had to fight for my 'privilege' to be there. I felt like shit but the acceptance from the rest made that go away very quickly. You may think Combat is scary but when you trip with a nearly full Platoon of Rangers under NODs, that's a different kind of "That talking balloon head is going to kill me kind of feeling" Still the BEST JOB I EVER HAD THE PRIVILEDGE TO OBTAIN. RLTW
