If you guys didn't know Hellevator is one of their predebut songs that they made on their survival show and they even released a predebut album called mixtape with all the songs the made from the survival show and along with mvs . District 9 is there debut song. Also a lot of their older songs have been released in ot8 versions which are in albums called SKZ 2020 and SKZ 2021. Songs I recommend are mirror, awaken, rock, voices, and 3rd eye(no mv). Rock and awaken have music videos called street versions along with other songs which are boxer, question, n/s, and mixtape 4. Also woojin was in the mvs up to double knott he was active in SKZ from March 25 2018 until Oct 2019 or well technically since 2017 if you include the time spent during the survival show. Thank you for the reactions.

To answer some of your questions and give some context- Hellevator is so heartbreaking. You actually see some of their process writing/producing it on their survival show, knowing that those lyrics come from the heart…. Han is shown writing his and Hyunjin’s verses - at 17! They look like babies in Hellevator because most of them are. I.N was only 16/17 and Seungmin, Felix, Han and Hyunjin were 17. District 9 is their official debut song. Some fun trivia - JYP told Chan that he made the key in Hellevator too high (it’s a female key) but he ended up making District 9’s even higher lmao. SKZ no longer have set positions really. There are songs (like Maze of Memories) where they all rap and songs where they all sing. They just have the nicknamed subunits: 3racha (music production, lyric writing, rap): Chan, Changbin & Han Danceracha (dance unit): Lee Know (also considered the dance leader, he helps the others with practice and oversees/monitors them), Hyunjin & Felix Vocalracha (although all members sing, these two rarely rap): Seungmin, I.N. (also the maknae). At debut, I believe Changbin was the main rapper and sub vocalist, however Han was also a main rapper but also one of the lead vocalists (in the re-recorded ot8 versions he usually sings woojins old lines. He was the main vocalist until he left).

we had some rock style songs on the first few albums but they stopped making it and now they have released the mv for Time Out which has a 2000s emo rock vibe. There's also a rumor that we're going to have a new comeback now in September and it's probably going to be rock vibes too since the entire Maniac tour was in that style.

Some songs that Alice may like because she has mentioned she likes emotional/sad lyrics 😆 these lyrics you can feel are more honest and raw and speak about their own experiences and struggles - *Levanter* (their first comeback since a member left) - _and their first title that is more vocal-heavy_ - *Slump* (English version and Japanese version have slight difference in lyrics so it may be worth checking both out)_ - *Voices* - *Secret Secret* - *Silent Cry* - *Another Day* - *Mixtape 2 "Behind the Light"* - *19* - _this one, if I'm not mistaken, is about leaving your teen years and stepping into adulthood. The lyrics talk about anxiety/worries regarding this (sudden) change, and the expectations (responsibilities) upon reaching "adulthood"_ Solo songs/projects aka "SKZ Player" : - *"Streetlight"* - _Changbin_ - *"Alien"* - _Han_ .

One of their members Lee Know, the dance leader choreographed the dance to this song.

No, he didn't. It's a misinterpration that started with survival show and had spread at the whole fandom. He only helped members to learn it, cause he was the most experienced in dancing and picked up the routine the quickest. You can't find his name under the choreography team that made it. The choreographers for Hellevator were 4 JYPe choreographers, Auspicious team and Chris Martin. Danceracha often contributes their ideas to the choreography, but any of them never choreographed any of the group choreos.

for straykids it is not taboo to talk about metal problems and those things they write their songs based on their experiences, since they debuted they have songs like that and that choreography was done by all leeknow it is such a good song and that a group that did not even at that time debuted there makes it more valuable and the rap line is one of the best of jyp and of the generation they are such a talented group and I hope they continue to have the success they have they deserve it

Bucky, if you don’t like most girl groups, check out Dreamcatcher. If you haven’t yet, their title songs have varying amounts of rock/metal in them. I can’t take the bubblegum pop stuff and they don’t do that. More of a dark concept type of group. Pixy has a dark concept as well.

I really enjoyed your reaction, please react to STRAYKIDS MVS in ORDER because they are connected, there are many theories in skz universe known as SKZverse. DISTRICT 9 is the 1st part of the the I AM series , next is MY PACE then I AM YOU.. SKZ known for releasing videos for bside tracks and single releases, there are seriously TOO MANY SONGS TO REACT TOO... SKZ by the way r the kpop group with most certified albums on KMCA aka Korean music certification association (10 certified albums)

As others said, Hellevator is predebut, made during the survival show as one of their tests. It's their first video, and when they made it, they were all still fighting to stay together (shortly after this, they lost Lee Know and Felix). The lyrics are about the hell they were going through at that time, as emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausted and stressed-out kids in the midst of this show. When Hellevator was made (September 2017), most of them were still literally kids: Woojin 20 Chan 19 Lee Know/Changbin 18 Hyunjin 17 Han/Felix/Seungmin 16/17 (it was made at basically the same time as their three birthdays) I.N 16 District 9, released about six months later, is their debut song. A few people are telling new folks that SKZ were escaping D9 in this video. Instead, they were escaping the institution (the accepted path in this industry) and _creating_ their own little place, their safe zone -- District 9. The "9" is because there were nine of them at the time; they've continued to use the reference to their "district" being a safe place for them and anyone else who needs it since then. D9 is where the "Stray kids everywhere all around the world" part of their usual video-ending tagline comes from. They _are_ very young in D9. For their official debut with D9, six months after predebut Hellevator, they were: Woojin/Chan 20 Lee Know 19 Changbin 18 Hyunjin/Han/Felix/Seungmin/I.N 17 (Hyunjin was five days past 18 when it premiered, but it was filmed when he was still 17)

As others mentioned here, and I've mentioned previously, there are no official set positions. We all know Changbin and Han perform the role of what would be "main rapper" in other groups, and both SKZ and STAY use terms like that sometimes as shorthand. But _officially_ there's no "main rapper" -- nor official "lead rapper" or "sub rapper." No one is locked into a position. Changbin sings more than people think and has been declared the best dancer outside of Danceracha (according to their choreographer), Han does literally everything all the time, Seungmin (who gets erroneously locked into "main vocal") rapped in three different songs just on NOEASY alone and has stepped in last-minute to cover rap when one of the so-called main rappers was unable to perform, and so forth. They also don't have (have never had, despite what people think and how frequently the terms get assigned) a hierarchical ranking (main/lead/sub). If you rap more than sing, they'll refer to you as a rapper first. If your focus is more on dancing than rapping, they'll refer to you as a dancer first. But, for instance, despite the bazillion people who will tell you Lee Know and Hyunjin are the main dancers and Felix is the lead dancer, it's not true. It has never actually been that way in SKZ; people just like to slap the labels on, based on their own assumptions, and then that misinformation gets spread to new people. SKZ will say, "Our main vocal, Seungmin!!!!!" when they're praising him, "Our main dancer, Hyunjin!!!!!!" when he's getting lauded for his AOTM, and whatnot, because they're hyping each other, because of context, because the industry understands those terms, and because if you're in Vocalracha, then hey, you're a "main" vocal; if you're in Danceracha, then hey, you're a "main" dancer -- it's your main focus. But the _actual_ hierarchy isn't present. Part of the deliberate ethos of SKZ is their equality. We keep repeating that they're _all_ all-rounders and aren't locked into official positions, and we really, truly mean that and want to make sure you incorporate that into your understanding at this early stage. Because trying to box any of them into a set position is just going to get confusing and interfere with comprehension as you continue exploring their work.

As we watch more of their videos I can see that the members don't fit that one position (like rapper, vocal, or dancer) and I love that. And yeah I think the mindset is well if they rap they must be part of the rapline, etc, because people want to label stuff. We are really loving Stray Kids. They are honestly becoming one of my favourites. I got into them when they released the Oddinary album and I am enjoying going through their past works on the this channel. -Alice

Yes, there is VERY MUCH a storyline. In fact. there's a main Korean storyline (which itself is parallel timelines/a multiverse), a Japanese storyline that is either a reflection/retelling of the main Korean storyline or is another set of parallel universes alongside it, and an auxiliary Korean storyline (the Mixtape story, which is the only one that's fairly straightforward). It's mindbogglingly convoluted, it started in Hellevator and really kicked off in D9, and it plays out in not only MVs but also trailers, teasers/unveils, the highlight reel, random info they occasionally spill in Channie's Room or on bubble or whatever, and so forth. If you decide you want to try to follow it, I'll post a summary, but it's long and confusing, so I don't want to do that unless you specifically say so.
