I am a Bangladeshi. I am a student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. I have been watching your videos since the elections in India. I understand India feels threatened that a Bangladesh has a growing anti-india narrative. But there is a very big reason for it. From the beginning of Sheikh Hasina regime India has denied any co-operation with the people. Even when Sheikh Hasina was killing students in hundreds, India gave there un-conditional support to Sheikh Hasina. Indian foreign policy has always chosen to work with a certain party or in Sheikh Hasina's case, a certain dictator rather than working with the country or the people of the country. This kind of aggressive foreign policy is bound to fail. This will only increase resentment in the people. In case of communal violence, I accept there has been issues that is because after the protests the police suffered heavy backlash from the protesters due to their crimes against humanity during the protests. This is very well documented by different international human rights groups. But things are taking a turn now. As a new interim government will be established very soon under Nobel Lauret Dr Mohammad Yunus. Many in India specially the BJP will tell you, he is anti-india. But I would like to argue that he is not anti-india, rather he is critical of Indian foreign policy towards Bangladesh and rightly so. We are also aware of the communal attacks. As police force is still in very bad shape after a lot of top ranking goons inside police (Established by Hasina) were suspended, Students and locals are trying there best to protect the minorities as police force is being re-established. A new police chief has already been appointed and I hope everything will be back to normal in 2-3 days. In the mean time we will try our best to protect the minorities. Islamist and extreme right wing people are present in Bangladesh, I will not deny it but there numbers are not as high as the Indian media is showing. And there is absolutely zero chance that they will just overtake the government because the vast majority people are against them. If India wants a ally to there east, there is a lot to be done from India's end. First your country needs to rethink there foreign policy. If all you want is a puppet state, where only party supported by India is selected, is bound to fail. India needs to work with elected governments in Bangladesh. We are also aware of BNP plots to push for an election within three months which will ensure a BNP majority as there is no other party left in Bangladesh. We, the students of Bangladesh are against it. We are pushing for a interim government that will last for at-least three years allowing us to build a new party that will stand with the minorities and establish a proper democracy in Bangladesh. For now India needs to stop endorsing a tyrant like Sheikh Hasina and work with the interim government so that both nations can work towards a healthy foreign policy. If you still have any doubts about Islamists taking over, you can do a background check of the poeple who are forming the interim government. And please stop showcasing Sheikh Hasina as a saint, this will not go well with the people of Bangladesh. Even worse, the people will be pushed towards a Islamist anti-India government.
