I just restrung my esp MH-1000 that has EMG 81 85s and Floyd rose and Grover tuners neck thru. This beast has been in its case for at least 6 months. I finally got it set up, 11-52s perfect float, perfect action tuned in drop C and this track was the first one I have played since setting it up and Immediately wrote something that is solid playing thru this JVM 210h it sounds fkn ridiculous in here with this track

I did a little 7-5 riff on the a string at the beginning with an open E or 5-3 on the A with drop d that fit nicely just following the drums. My fingers just gravitate to that area of the fretboard for standard or drop d tunings, the open E/D sounds so good bouncing off the next string right there.

Maybe an online course or something, geared towards guitar players who want to be able to produce their own backing tracks for solo sections? That’s mainly what I am looking to do. I’ve been able to do some decent things over the past year, but they still don’t sound like how I want them to.
