Putting aside all of the positive things the team did and the wonderful performance all around, I find that the inclusion of Jarell and not Gomez was a mature-fatherly-good coach move by Slot.. This would add some mental toughness and stability to the young man future.. take a bow Coach Slot

Leverkussen got really a very good team. this performance and result is fantastic. Im Feyenoord fan i really miss slot but Liverpool always has been my 2nd team so it's very nice to see Slot doing so great after Slot helped Feyenoord to get back in the top of the netherlands. I hope he will bring Liverpool back in the top of England.

I absolutely adore Klopp, so I don't want this to be taken the wrong way. Over Klopps whole reign, I always thought he gave out of form players far too long and never played people on merit. He had his favourite 11, and he'd ignore the terrible form of some players and just play them anyway. No matter how good a fringe players form was, they wouldn't get in the 11. For me, that's the biggest difference by a mile in us winning nore games. If a player plays better than the starter, he starts next game! For me, that mentality makes a squad MUCH stronger. If squad players know that they're rewarded for performance by starts, they have a bigger motivation. Starting players know that if they don't perform, they're out! To me, that's phenomenal. Exactly how it should be! Last season, a second string player would be playing better than the old trusted 11, but Klopp refused completely to drop any of the big names. They had their place no matter how they played. This season? Szobo not performing? Out you go, Jones is playing better. Robbo not the same? Move over Tsimikas is in. Quansah? Out you go. No mercy. You play, and you merit your spot. It's EXTREMELY refreshing to watch!

Mate 100%. I love Klopp. He’s a legend. He was up against the most (allegedly) corrupt club of all time in City and up against the billions they had. He still found a way to win it all. But I agree. Slots approach is common sense. Almost simple. But he sees the game differently and I think he’s having a lot of fun with some of the worlds best players at his disposal.

Getting these results without Jota the slotter and the number 1 GK n the world is even more impressive. Sidenote: Such a shame were gonna lose Kelleher n the summer. I dont want Allison to leave but this Kelleher is top quality also. This Georgian keeper we bought may take a season to adapt to the PL but to raise funds i think he will be sold. Anyone who I've argued with over Jones not being good enough to play for Liverpool, where are you now? The fact I was absolutely ripped into by our own fans for backing him and saying he's one of the best midfielders in Europe WHEN FULLY FIT, is embarrassing. I'd love to speak to one of the hundreds who've adamantly argued with me that he's only still here cause he's a scouser. You all seem to have disappeared. Cowards. Real men admit when they were wrong👍 Good old Craig from Anfield Agenda was the driver of the Jones out bandwagon actually. Shouting to sell him every week. Absolutely clueless statements every week about Curtis never being good enough, and how he won't ever be good enough. I remember him, and many other fan channels, saying that his level is maybe bottom/mid table Premier league team... and that he's shown that he just doesn't have what it takes at the top level😂. Honestly I couldn't bring myself to listen to it and not comment sticking uo for our boy. That's what he is, he's our academy player, and we should have been backing him! Instead, for some strange reason, he's judged completely different to anyone else. I've been saying the whole time that you're all judging Curtis on his performances after injury. You've all forgotten that whenever he's had a run of 7 or more games, he's been our best, most influential midfielder. Have a look back over the last 3 seasons, check when Jones has had 7 or 8 games injury free and got into his rhythm. He's ALWAYS made himself a starter. He's only ever struggled when he's come back from injury. His style of play means that he needs to be fully sharp and fit. In the rhythm. If he's slightly under that, he looks bad. However, match fit, sharp, confident... the lad is phenomenal. Here's a statement for you... If Jones was fit for the whole season, he'd be our most influential midfielder. Yep, I said it. Now a lot of people will think that's a crazy statement because "it's Curtis Jones🤔, he isn't an exotic new signing from Brazil. He isn't from Portugal or Holland. People seem to automatically believe that signings from clubs like Porto, Ajax, German or Spanish sides are better than our own youngsters. It's just not true. Jones has broken into the starting 11 of the 2nd strongest PL team over the last 10 years. What young midfielder from Porto or Ajax can better that?? The mentality over our own youngsters is so poisonous. As fans, we've grown so addicted to transfers that ANY foreign big money signing, is instantly better than boring home grown players like Jones. Fans do their ideal starting 11s start of the season, and they pick players like Diomande to partner Virgil if he signs🤣! They'll instantly decide Zubimendi would start over Gravenberch🤔😂. Oh sign Gordon, he's much better than Diaz..... yeah... I think its about time we realised the talent we have at our club and supported it instead of longing for foreign players who are NOT better than our own boys. Rant over. Breathe....
