He's a great front man that gave the band its current resurgence. Steve Perry is gone and retired (and not the same vocalist at age 60). Steve is still great but he's not coming back. A new generation of fans has embraced new guy. Concerts will be packed no matter what. So listen to live awesome sound versus ur old vinyls that's gathering dust and withering away.

Arnel and Steve are tied on this one, Yes Arnel is doing a great job on this classic even if the sound of the instruments is not polished like the .studio version. They need some more originals with Arnel singing.

This guy sounds more like the singer he's replaced than the guys who did it for Foreigner, Styx, the Doors, Van Halen, Queen, Ted Nugent, Robin Trower, AC/DC, etc., etc. If the goal is to sound like the original guy to please FANS, this is a win. I bet Arnel's and Perry's fricken voiceprints are even indistinguishable in the lab. Plus he's a good frontman and overall entertainer. I am impressed, although I admit I don't have Steve Perry posters on my walls and listen to him every day.

Bringing him on, opened the door for many more fans across the globe, especially the Philippines. I mean that he is the best choice, but only because Steve Perry is not an option, apparently. A Rolex is a beautiful watch. If they no longer were available for sale, I'd imagine many more would wear fakes. I do like watching Arnel sing Journey songs.

The Journey Greatest Hits album, which is only a partial listing of Steve Perry's hits with Journey is one of the longest running album on the Billboard for top sales. It's been over 450 weeks. That's a LONG FUCKING TIME to have a top selling album. Do the math. 450/12 is 37.5 years. Arnel can't even come close that. And many of the songs Steve Perry co-wrote and it was Steve Perry's voice that made them into these massive hits. Arnel is a wannabe copy cat singer riding on Perry's coat tails. Have respect you pre-pubescent child.

Arnel's microphone was not good in the beginning because, his vocal was being squashed by all the instruments. I also don't like the deep tone that Neal put on this one.
