@@thv.hhb16 I think we can't convert it.. We deal with the intransitive verb. /Ship leaves/ The verb has no object. But maybe I'm wrong, as I'm not a native speaker.

I got it, in relation to the transitive and intransitive verbs. They both (the transitive and passive voice) need an object because in the passive voice the action falls into the object, am I right? I love you and I love your videos. 🥰

I work in a language program here in Australia with students from various countries, many of them being refugees. Some of them have not had that many opportunities to study and develop their language skills, so having access to well produced and easy to follow content like yours is a great way for them to overcome that barrier. Thank you!

There's an error @4:11 - It should be "A million pounds was donated", not "were donated". Specific values of money/currency are an exception when it comes to verb agreement, and are always treated as singular. You can use the plural verb if the amount is vague/non-specific, such as "Millions of pounds were donated".

Your video is very well done. I would add the following: Passive Voice occurs when the active sentence contains a TRANSITIVE VERBS, these verbs admit OBJECTS. Ex: I gave alms to the beggar. While in sentences with INTRANSITIVE VERBS you cannot put the sentence into passive voice. Example: Birds fly.
