Jon it is so amazing that you are giving all these young guys a chance on your channel. Not only is it great experience for them, but it's rewarding to watch. Most of all it keeps the content fresh!

Jon, I love how much your channel has grown. Not just in terms of subscribers but in terms of your team. It is truly awesome to watch and who knows, maybe there will be a Jon Olsson world wide that creates content on a global scale soon! I gladly volunteer to represent the northeastern United States and its beautiful mountains.

Since the Dell XPS 15 vents through the underside, find some kind of plate to keep between it and your lap, to maximize cooling. Especially important in the tropics. It doesn't get all that hot, as long as you keep the venting in mind. I ran an older, slightly lighter config in about 30 C all the time.

I think the nVidia graphics card might be better suited for Premiere Pro. The Intel processor in the MBP15 and XPS15 are about the same.
@theadventurousman7 жыл бұрын
Any dedicated graphics card will always be better than integrated graphics of CPUs, but Apple doesnt seem to thinks get that, they just keep making the Macbook "PRO" with integrated gfx, which makes zero sense.
@noomster55617 жыл бұрын
Thats a Precision 5520
@theadventurousman7 жыл бұрын
Are you sure? I just checked the Dell website and the XPS and Precision 5520 look identical. Top end XPS is equipped with a Geforce 1050 and 4K display. Precision 5520 barely equals to a low end MBP in parts. I think if Jon was going to upgrade, he would go all out.

Hope you guys will never get in trouble but you might check laws of places like Canada if you ever want to visit the tipi again. @MyBeomaster9017 жыл бұрын
Most people say that, who actually know a thing or two about computers.
@ironmanwg7 жыл бұрын
stupid to compare a mac thats two to three years old without the highest spec to a brand new fully loaded PC. Of course its slower what do you expect.
@xavierracine-tolszczuk38247 жыл бұрын
ironmanwg we all know that! The quote was just funny. But in reality, as far as raw performance/dollar, Mac is still not the best! Don't get me wrong, they are good Computers. Just overpriced in my opinion.
@ironmanwg7 жыл бұрын
Xavier Racine-Tolszczuk yeah of course everyone can get what he wants. But from my experience apple products hold up way longer than PC or Anroid phones. You notice that hardware and software are developed by the same company. My Samsung was dead after 1 1/2 years my iPhone is running for 2 1/2 years now without problems. Just my personal preference
@xavierracine-tolszczuk38247 жыл бұрын
ironmanwg Kind of true, but less now than before. PC product in the same price range are pretty much as durable. Apple's product may withstand the test of time, but performance will suffer in the long run anyway. Unfortunately, we live in an era where software will always follow the new hardware, shortening the lifespan of any processor base product.

@kevinp81087 жыл бұрын
The stairs are located in Oahu Hawaii. They were built and used by the US military to access the radars placed on top of the volcanic mountains. These stairs are known as HAIKU STAIRS or STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN. They are now abandoned and are off limits to the public, however, there are ways to sneak in to get to them. There are many You Tube videos about these stairs.
