Tenor: Selmer Mark VII (1978) with Selmer C* Also I play a Selmer Mark VII alto and tenor. The reason most people never liked them was because they were just different than the Mark VI. If you ever get the chance, definitely play one. I found my information in an article that Bornkamp wrote a few years.ago.

They also didn’t like MKVII because of the weight. Wayne shorter played on for awhile and said the same thing. They are heavy horns, but they play great. I own/play an alto MKVII
