What she said about Eliot and DFW, novel of manners vs existential novel is so well said. I know that you know that I know that you know...."in the end it might be more useful to direct yourself outwards." Advice to live by. The "icy" "pyrotechnics" of Nabokov, she has such a great way of putting things. Also, re. the interviewer, he just has an accent, don't be dicks! ;P
