Thank you so much for the studio tour footage at the end of this video. I'm a Colorado fiber artist who happens to be a wheelchair user. I'm going to contact these shops to do accessibility reviews for my friends who stitch. I had not heard of either one of these companies yet and I'm very excited to support these budding businesses

I love your feminine color choices! You inspired me to do a Woolberry Fiber Co pre-order. The pinks and blues are right in my wheel house and subtle enough to wear to the office (unlike some other yarn choices I have made - no regrets though).

Saying you are "just" a maker is just so Wrong! Being a maker means you are a creator. Yarn plus needles and look at the amazing things you create! Not to mention, the insight you give us about patterns, why you make modifications and your thoughts on the yarns you use means you are a teacher as well. As makers I think too many makers under value how amazing we are. I think you makes beautiful garments and I so appreciate your thoughts on each one. I love the color of the tweed. It has a copper/ bronze look to it.

This was my first time watching your videos and it was so fun to see the yarn you got and hear about your time in Denver! If you're ever considering more non-superwash yarn, look for the micron count! It's the diameter of the hair and it'll tell you how soft the yarn will be to the touch. Merino wool typically falls between 17-24 microns. A micron count less than 20 is considered "itch free for all skin types", while micron counts of 20-24 fall in the "itch free for most skin types" category. Sometimes it's hard to find micron counts under 20, but wool with a micron count in the low 20s are still very soft! For reference, it looks like Woolberry's Berry Natural bases are 20.5 microns from their website. :) Personally, I think when you start getting into micron counts that are like 25 or higher, the wool starts to feel more rustic/itchy. Since you say you don't like rustic feeling yarn, I would definitely recommend staying below/around the low 20s!

Hello Aro, I am listening to you talk about evening out tweed bits and tbh I feel like you called out that the emperor has no clothes. Earlier this year I bought LBA Corrie Confetti in Framboise (swayed by the swatch photo with silk mohair in Lannister, which I bought too). The problem is I sway between being lured by it, and seeing FOs that look like they were accidentally thrown in the washing machine with tissues left in the pockets. I thought my two options with this yarn are to either make a good pattern decision (some patterns seem to look more linty than others), or maybe the truth is I should rehome the yarn. I hadn’t considered a third option of picking out or trimming the most lint-like bits. I am seriously wondering if you have an opinion or any advice on this yarn? Thankyou for all that you share and do!

These colours are so lovely! But a quick question: Whenever I look at my stash consisting of way less yarn than yours (maybe 15 projects) I feel super anxious because I feel like my yarn stash is a to do list and my job is to minimise it by using it up as quickly as possible. Do you feel about your stash simply as a collection of beautiful coloured skeins by themselves or do you ever feel the “obligation” to assign projects and knit them up?
@arox1647
@arox1647 2 жыл бұрын
I consider my stash to be just as much art as it is a supply - I destash when it starts to feel like an obligation rather than inspiration

You say a lot of things that imply a negative self-esteem and I'm not sure if you're trying to be super modest or you actually feel that way. I'm concerned that you actually feel that way, and if you do I hope you can work with someone who can professionally help you accept the love you deserve. You're lovely and beautiful and special, and I hope you accept those facts about yourself.
