The premier companies need to come down on their prices. We cannot pay $400 on fragrances when the cost of living is so high. Designers and niche companies need to bring their prices down to Earth. Clones cater to customers who mainly cannot afford $200 or more fragrances. Those customers will not buy fragrances at exorbitant prices even if all clones disappear.

Nah, the designers are out of control with their prices. I love Bvlgari... But 180 euros for Man in Black parfum is wild. Average salary in Greece and much of eastern europe is 1000 euros a month. No way any sane person is going to work 4-5 days just to buy smelly water. I love Lattafa. They smell good. They respect my pocket and my sensibilities. They make a product that smells good, lasts long, and doesn't cripple me economically. We work hard to make a buck, and I'm not gonna give it to someone who doesn't respect that anymore. And if these big companies want to turn around and act like gangsters and intimidate others instead of getting their act together, then that says more about them than about me. They don't want to understand the average man's plight, so I don't care about theirs. It's really that simple. And thank you for opening our eyes to the middle eastern houses. I learned about them from you, and you've helped me to appreciate this hobby so much. Your work brings simple joys to our lives, because it has made the world of fragrance accessible to all of us.

I might even recommend using the term "rends" for 'rendition' or 'rendering' to describe these type of scents - across the board too, from celebrity scents, to designer, to artisan. Rends have always been a thing and will always be a thing. Agree that the bottle designs were a bit much, even if it was only to help the consumer visually identify what the scent was going for. But I guess they did have to test the limits didn't they. 😆 So far, everything according to a predictable pattern. It happens with every type of product in every department, with the food industry likely being the closest comparitor.

I never said i was going to stop talking about clones.. I’ve always owned LV bags and luxury stuff. The law says you cant copyright by copying a bottle and if i talk about it, it harms me so YES of course its exactly about the copycat bottles. Im staying in the same level I’ve always been my earliest content i had LV bags in and we will always talk clones BUT the bottles are a no go simple as that. Get the scent down to the t all you want im for it but if it harms me by going against copyright laws im not about it pretty clear cut.
