I lived just over 2yrs in sunrise motel and i used to ask morrocons how long have they been living there and lots have been there for ever . But then I'd ask them wouldn't they like to get a government flat and nearly all of them would answer me back saying it's not worth there while as they all have houses in morroco and don't want to pay more bills in Gibraltar. If not they would have less money to send to there families in morroco and to fix there properties in morroco. That's when I understood where there coming from 😮😮😮😮

If they've been here that many years why don't they speak English?

What an ignorant comment, I let you know that the majority of elderly Gibaltarians hardly speak English, most struggle to say a full sentence without mixing it with Spanish. Oh and by the way these people are hero’s let’s not forget that when Spain closed the frontier for 16 years who came to the rescue????

Not sure why it is necessary for them to speak English anyway - they are entitled to compassion and dignity (on any language).
