I have a feeling that in the canon normal ending. The Krusty krab shut down off camera because they wouldn’t have been able to use the krabby patty secret formula to make more burgers. But in the true ending Mr krabs somehow preserved the secret formula so that his legacy could be carried on by SpongeBob and Squidward etc

The true ending is as follows: After grabbing all the Goofy Goober Tokens, our heroes finally face off against the Overlord. Following Mr. Krabs' sacrifice, he leaves behind his Krabby Patty formula to so Spongebob and the others can keep their business going. 1 year later, everything is back to normal in Bikini Bottom as the Krusty Krab booms with customers. Spongebob, Patrick, and Squidward head to Mr. Krabs' grave to honor his heroic sacrifice as the day comes to an end. Meanwhile, Berry the Bear is enraged that all of his Goofy Goober tokens were taken. Without any money or places to hide in Bikini Bottom, he decides to leave town for good. For now peace returns to Bikini Bottom Until next time.
