I am having such an amazing nostalgic trip back to the 2010-2012 period when life was better. We got to go on roadtrips with friends, vlog about weird motels and restaurants, and make new memories. Now we are looking at life insurance policies and slamming back ibuprofen’s for our knee pain. Can’t wait to watch part 2 & 3 after this.

For the longest, I remember when I would watch the Around the Town videos, back in 2009 and 2010, in the back of my head I kept thinking, "MJ reminds me of someone. I can't put my finger on who, but there's *someone* he reminds me of so much." And then one day while watching a video, it struck me. Who MJ reminded me of was a one-time very close friend of mine who at the time we had not been friends for maybe two or three years. Once I made the connection, I realized why. My friend had the same personality as MJ, carried himself the same way, would make the same facial expressions to things, had the same manner of speaking and answering things. It was particularly noticeable for me with MJ throughout the course of this movie. Like the whole "General" thing, for instance. I swear. My friend would have responded to that virtually in the exact same way. A lot of things Coolduder (and others who experienced) similar talked about, I also went through with him. Even like between Coolduder and MJ, we had our own issues and we're no longer friends. I can kind of relate to Coolduder in that manner and can somewhat understand what all he went through with MJ. Like how he said in one of Wetmovie1's videos that they never really had any "fights" but how MJ would say things that you knew what he was trying to do (make himself sound so much better while putting you down or whatever). It was almost frightening how much MJ and this guy reminded me of the other.

The problem was Shawn wouldn't put down the camera. Even when he sensed a change in MJ's mood, he still kept filming. Shawn was also pretty nasty to MJ in his last visit to Maryland. He made snarky comments about MJ's job and "girlfriend" who was outed as a transexual.

I watched this when it first came out.. and the fact that anyone would call this a movie is laughable and basically its 10 year olds thinking.. what sticks in my throat though.. is how 2 SO CALLED friends could fuck up such a magnificent opportunity to see some of the great american outdoors.. all you had to do was plot 10 - 15 touristy spots on your route and PRE-write a small funny script for each one.. THAT!! would have been 1000x better than the colossus disaster this video was :(
