Ahh, pity you didn't have a chance to try Polish dumplings, which Poland is quite famous for /proud of! 😀 Btw. There is a Polish restaurant in Brooklyn called Pierozek (little dumpling) serving vegan dishes, also dumplings. Maybe you could give it a try? :)

Yes! Shout out to all polish vegans!

All the Eastern European dumplings were ignored, probably because the company is a Thai industrial foods distributor.

Okay Italian dumplings are ravioli, gnocchi, tortellini, etc. I love them all. There are vegan versions you can have with different sauces, marinara, alfredo, pesto, as a salad with vinaigrette, etc. Italian food seems boring because all the Italian restaurants are using basically the same menu.

As you were ranting about Italian cuisine, I could feel my eyes get as big as saucers! This really isn't a comprehensive overview of dumplings, but Surapon seemed to do a pretty good job with the dumplings they make, so hopefull somebody watches this video and considers broadening the category and making improvements (American BBQ isn't usually chicken, for example). Thanks for posting 🙂

Haha yes, im was mostly just joking. It's more American Italian thats a lil one-not for me.

My smoke detector went off (making vegan burgers, fries, and baked beans) right as your air fryer yelled at you 😂

They look sooo good!! I think the concept is very cool. A portable and fast way to get protein in. A bit of dipping sauce maybe. So the American one is like soul food inspired? Interesting though. And you have so many!!! 😊

Some dumplings to try: Polish mushroom and saurkraut pierogis, Ukrainian potato varkeniky, British suet-based dumplings, Tortellini (which yes, is different to ravioli), Nepalese Momos, spicy vegetable Korean Mandu, Turkish Manti (these have a really cool shape which makes the eating experience great!).. I ALWAYS love watching you Rebecca, you could literally video yourself taking the bins out and I'd enjoy it, and I did enjoy this video; however, I was disappointed that the company basically made the same dumplings with different flavours and called them 'Thai' 'Chinese' and 'Italian' rather than make the actual dumplings from these regions. If I had a 'around the world dumpling store' i'd try to source dumplings from small-batch manufacturers across the globe making dumplings truly representative of their region! As always, much love
@bodegacatx9 ай бұрын
Oh those sound delicious! And yeah, these aren't authentic world-wide dumplings. Just dumplings with fillings that mirror those flavors. Interesting concept. Maybe I should do a dumpling tour in NYC of vegan dumplings that are actually authentic

italian food is never, ever boring. Just go to Italy and you'll see, especially Northern or the riviera. I've been to Italy 7 times and never got the same thing (or vibe of tomato/cheese) twice.

You probably don't remember, but I left you a pretty rude comment around the times of all the c word fraud, and I want to apologize. I'm truly sorry, I wasn't going through my best mental state at the time, but that's still no excuse to treat others badly. I know you're a wonderful person, thank you for standing up for Palestinians.

@ElisaPorcayo9 ай бұрын
Luckily, America is a mixing pot so we are eating cuisines from around the world, not just BBQ foods.
@pippoberti48469 ай бұрын
@@ElisaPorcayo well obviously that happens also in Italy, (you can find sushi, burgers, hot pots, Mexican food Ethiopian....) but Rebecca was talking about "local and traditional" food. It's difficult to use meat in different ways, while in Italy there are lots of ways to eat for example pasta (carbonara, amatriciana, ragù, gnocchi, lasagna). And here I'm just talking about pasta but we have many different dishes.
