Why aren’t the armed police more assertive in moving people away from the Horse Guards? Some people stand too long near the horses petting them and hogging the space when others want to get photos! Plus the touching of the horses should be strictly forbidden as it is with touching the Horse Guards! Service animals of all kinds should not be touched as it interferes with their work!

The police are MOD police there for security reasons in case of any suspected terrorism and for public safety . The only time they tell people to stay back is when the horses change over , public safety ! As long as The Household Cavalry and MOD permit the horses being touched it will continue .

THIS is what I've been waiting to see! It looks like delegation from thus group of people has been sent to look into past experiences. It looked like they were under a "tour guide" to help explain things to them. The guard in the arch had been schooled on how to handle the noted close scrutiny. The person retreated and they met in a grouo to discuss what transpired AND, they approached the police for further duscussion. Out front, for the first time, they participated in being photographed withbthe horses. The rider was prepared and deliberately angled his horse for optimum photos. The shot with the three young ladies to the side should be phenomenal. I think this was a PR...a very successful, (and seriously necessary) arranged PR session.

That group were MASSIVELY disrespectful... as my footage will show. The Police also spoke to them and they were lucky not to have been ejected. Absolute idiots they were - completely oblivious to the fact a soldier was at work.

@@LondonCityWalks These people have no respect for anyone. Disrespect can be in your attitude to those who cannot, for some reason, retaliate. My heart sinks whenever I see these groups come in. There was one group who started chanting, encouraged by a teacher (although Minder was probably a better word). You could tell by their laughing that it wasn’t very polite! They were moved on by the Police. Why they aren’t excluded I don’t understand.
