Wow, what a build. This looks more accurate and is more powerful than the licensed Legolas bow that I bought many years ago. Back when the movies were coming out, in Italy there was a guy who was licensed to make functional replicas of this bow. I've still got it. It comes in around 35 lbs, and its made out of what looks like rattan or something similar to it. Came with two replica arrows too. A lesser known curiosity I think. But your bow is more powerful, more functional, and looks more like the movie one. Wish I could buy it haha
@IndianaBows Жыл бұрын
Thanks Very much. I saw pictures of that licensed bow when I was searching pictures of the original used in the movie. The kit was very beautiful. But I don't like very much. There so many details diferent from the movie and the fact that was made with ratan... Well... Ratan is not a good material to make an eficient bow. So, I was paying attention on that when decided to make this one. ☺️
@GawainSSB Жыл бұрын
@IndianaBows indeed, rattan isn't very good, except for that its very strong and resistant to breakage. Slow wood though, its a much worse shooter than the osage I made. I've never tried making a laminated bow, I might try doing something like you did here for my next one though.

Salve Indiana! Tudo bem?
