Arran 25 year old bottled in 2020, cask maturation of 65% Bourbon Barrels 35% Sherry Casks. Comes in at 46% abv and only 3000 produced.

Thanks for the review guys! Arran is becoming a 2nd Springbank imo soon. They are in a right direction for sure, just hard to get them in US. Hope to see you guys review some GlenDronach single cask, they’re exceptional.

With only 3k bottles, unless this makes it to the states, I'm not sure you'll be able to find it anywhere outside of the secondary at this point. I had to get one from the UK and had to race after to get one in belgium. The 10 is the only age stated of this year's releases I still see for sale in the UK.

Well in canada this is in the 650 dollar area.... To rich for my budget.... I tried to get a bottle of the 18 but no luck as of yet.

That sadly sounds about right about what I'd have expected. It's a really nice one, but that's a serious investment. But best of luck on the 18, they're proving HARD to get in the US as well, I got lucky and found a backup 18, but I literally found the last bottle on the shelf of a store I frequent more than once a week. Still haven't seen a 21 or 25 locally, maybe you'll luck out and see a 21 at a fair price.

You can get it from 350€ on some german websites. Already way out of my league. The only times i spent more than 200€ were for Craigellachie 23 (205€) and Balblair 83 (240€).

@dhsilv2 I was able to sample that cognac 24 year old Arran before I paid for it. Buttered carmel over vanilla ice cream. Don't think it's terribly complex but at 46.8% it's like a home run over the center field wall if you play baseball in candyland. It may have quenched my craving for CS NAS like the Arran Bothy, and AnCnoc Blas.

I’m using the Glencairen Copita . It’s the only one I’ve tried. Was a standard Glencairen man before these.

He was reviewing a neck pour but I don't get any of this harshness he's talking about. But that's why we do this. Everyone's going to have different opinions. Ultimately, this wasn't a soft smooth whisky and it had some imo nice oak character and some spice to it. Some people didn't appreciate that.
