They both have some minus points, if girl is greedy, then boy is also a male chauvinist. A groom/bride is chosen based on the family background and also the education and intellect of the groom/bride. So that compatibility is there. The relation happens between equals for better relationship. So, I don’t think that the concept of arranged marriages are for gold diggers
