@EmeraldEsmerelda

Not when it comes to actually proving anything, as a cop he should know and does know that lie detector tests are absolute bullshit, I work in criminal court and they are widely seen as unreliable and downright incompetent as evidence. They can easily be manipulated and that is exactly why they are never used in criminal court cases like murders for example, you can sit the killer down and ask them “Did you kill him?” and believe me they can say no and seem completely sincere and pass that test despite already confessing or being caught on tape doing it. Steve needs to stop with these bullshit lie detector tests and results, it’s absolutely disgusting how easily they can be used to destroy someone’s life. No true and competent police officer, lawyer or court judge truly respects or believes in lie detector tests.

All people killed by the police unlawfully deserve attention, but people are *rightfully* giving the attention to the black community because of the years of unjust. People aren't silencing the voices of victims, that woman and her family deserve justice. White victims of police killings aren't being silenced, not at all, for a long, long time, Black victims were silenced. Hence bringing attention to their voices more.

Her eyelashes were singed and her waterline was burnt. I picked her up immediately and started kissing her little face. I ran into my house so I could run cold water on her eye. It traumatized me, and I felt so bad about it that I quit smoking. She's 19 now and has no recollection of the incident so I'm thankful for that.

@@jacksonhart5961 abortion does not undo the trauma of rape. It only compounds it. It continues the cycle of violence, making the victim now a victimizer. I want the rapist punished for his crimes, not the woman nor the baby that didn't ask to be conceived in that manner. The mother is the primary victim; her body was violated. The secondary victim is the child; she didn't ask to be conceived that way. Why should the baby be killed for the crimes of the rapist? Why should the mother have more trauma on her shoulders rather than be embraced with love, support, and true help? Killing the child will only make her the mother of a dead baby. It's also a known statistic that 74% of rape victims choose to parent, and 95% of them do not see their child as the rapist's child. Violence on an innocent human being is always wrong; it's why rape is so abhorrent. Abortion is abhorrent for the same reasons.

It's not usually the withdrawals that cause relapses, the withdrawals don't usually last that long relatively speaking. What causes addicts to relapse is due to their environment and other "triggers". Places, people, events, even just walking down the street can trigger an overwhelming desire to relapse. For example, a recovering alchoholic may not be triggered when he is at home with family, but when the family goes out to dinner and he/she sees the bar section, the temptation comes back. Most addicts who recover do so by cutting out the things/places that trigger their desire for relapsing. Obviously, this can be extremely painful to do, especially if that trigger is a friend or family member. Morgan is sadly an example of this too. She gets hammered by the withdrawal, but recovers after going to jail/rehab/hospital. But every time she leaves (Whether of her own accord or not) she winds up back where she started. The fact that many of her triggers were likely places she frequented and people she knew who caused/continued her addiction made it even harder to break the addiction. To be honest, her best bet would probably have been to move with her family somewhere remote and isolated, with fewer triggers for her addiction. In the end though, we can only speculate on the best form of treatment. The unfortunate reality is that overcoming addiction requires a level of mental and physical toughness that the vast majority of people just don't have.

@Freegame I didn't get "justice" per se. I was a teenager when this happened he basically bragged about what he did to everyone at our school. Then several years later he was arrested for something unrelated and during that sentence he was SA'd by some other inmates. I found out by chance when I ran into some old friends who told me. It felt good to hear that now he'd have to deal with the same trauma he inflicted on others.

@Freegame I completely understand before dude was arrested we crossed paths at the mall. He tried to corner me not realizing I wasn't alone and he almost got shanked by my friends. I didn't want my friends to get in trouble over such a worthless person so we just gave him a warning. Then he was arrested and got his. It's been a lot of years and I actually ran into him at my nephews birthday a few years ago (it was at an arcade place) and he tried to wave at me and act like we were old friend I glared at him and did the finger across the neck motion then pointed at him. He left with a quickness. Just remember what he did to you was because he's horrible and he will get what's coming to him eventually. The guy who did it to me has a horrible life and my life is wonderful. That's real life karma and it's a beautiful thing.

@kerrymccauley519 why is trauma always an excuse? Drugs and addiction ARE a choice. I was raised in a trap house my first 2 years of life. Mother laughs about how she openly neglected me and her ex drug dealer hit me with a high chair at 9 months old. I've been beaten, sexually abused, raped, and traumatized. My first real relationship I was beaten and bruised. My next relationship I found someone with similar life trauma, but his choice of life path was drugs. We dated for 5 years. 1880 days. Had the same life, same extent of trauma, same household. But he chose drugs, and is now homeless, unemployed, and broke. Crack cocaine that ended up being laced with fentanyl. Where am I? Working full time, making good money, and own a home. Same exact spot, side by side. And he made the CHOICE to put a drug in his body, knowing the consequences. Being weak needs to stop being a goddamn excuse for addicts. Everyone knows drugs are bad by now. Why chance it?

My daughter went through a similar situation with a family member when she was only 6 and the forensic investigators and the counselors all told me that the worst thing you can do as a parent is not believe them.. she's 12 now and doing remarkably well. Sadly, even though I reported it as soon as she told me and we have pursued legal action and not had any ounce of contact with them since (it was my Dad's step-dad who he considered his father and I considered my grandfather that had been there since he was a year old and he is now 62) the DA said there wasn't enough evidence.. even though my daughter told them everything. She wasn't raped, but she was sexually molested. Apparently, you have to pretty much be raped for anyone to do anything about it. Child molesters are the lowest of the low, and I felt that way even before I was personally affected. I hope you are doing well now 💓

@@ashleighbaugh9839 hi... Thank you for your sweet reaction. Your daughter is a strong little girl. Because she was brave enough to tell you what happened. ❤️ I wasn't 😔 I was to scared to tell anyone. I was only 6 to. Only molested to. But more than ones and I still wasn't brave enough to tell. When I was about 10years old ... I was molested again and he did everything that I would keep my mouth shut. So I was scared and it happened again several times. I was so a stupid and scared girl. Because the molester was a close member. I was about 12 and I told it for the first time to my mother and she didn't believe me and didn't do anything about it. Even my sister was molested by him...but she to wasn't brave enough. So my mother didn't believed me. 😢 Ones I was about 18 and I lived with my boyfriend....I was brave enough to tell my mother again and she still didn't believe me. Pfff. Now she past away in december 2022 and till that day....she still didn't believe me or said something to the molester about it. 😭 I am not the girl that I would normally be, I think. And it controls much of who I am everyday. 🥺 Do I am so glad that you believe your daughter and supports her. You're awesome and she will tell you to when she is older. 💋❤️

The women on that segment truly were heroes. That man was a serial predator and was going to continue assaulting women until he can't anymore, if they stayed silent, it's more than likely so many more women would be made victims.

RIP, Morgan. You seemed like such a kind, loving person & I’m so sorry you couldn’t beat your disease. I’m so impressed by your family. They’re the most insightful, encouraging people & they really loved you unconditionally. Your grandpa said it best. “Just stay in touch” even though they’re faltering. What an astute man. You can’t make someone be ready to change, however, you can unconditionally love them, right until the bitter end. I’m so sad she didn’t make it! 💔

I wish I could hug them so tight ❤ I'm 6 months clean off drugs after many attempts, but still struggle with alcohol (I stayed sober for 4 months) so I understand completely the fear of feeling, the fear of facing life with nothing to numb it. The one with the abused baby isnt really fair to the recorder. If she stopped it, there wouldnt be recorded evidence to lock the babysitter away. That's what made me mad. She was young and scared. She took the video immediately took it to an adult that was Friends with the mother and that person didn't say anything for a month, but everyone is blaming this child to try to help. I felt really bad for her you could tell that she really was trying to help the baby and it backfired. I would have loved to the way Steve and that Mom blamed her made my stomach hurt. Especially in the mother said "you are the reason this happened to my baby". No accountability at all for the fact that she left her child with someone that she didn't know well, multiple times. SMH

Agreed. But, I get it. It's hard to quit. I'm not gonna lie, drugs are fun, they make you feel amazing, all your worries just disappear. It's hard to get that feeling for so long, and then have to just...stop. You can have all the support in the world, but it's up to you to quit. And quitting simply isn't easy. You know when you stop, you're gonna feel horrible for a while, and you know you won't get that amazing high anymore. I've done some things, but never got addicted to anything, until somewhat recently, and that's nothing hard. Simple Delta 8, which is essentially just legal weed. But even something as light as that, I've been out for about a week and it's driving me nuts. I want more. Not having it sucks. So, if something as light as weed is hard to kick, imagine trying to quit the harder stuff.
@ChelseyIsATotal5SOSFan

@@TXFDA I certainly can imagine that it’s hard to quit anything, whether it’s as simply as marijuana or harder drugs. But it’s still heartbreaking to know that her addiction overtook her and she passed away from it, I can’t imagine what her family was going through at the time. I wish there was a better way of convincing people like Morgan with severe addictions that it’s ultimately going to benefit them to try to quit.

Same here. I was badly into pills, and I didn't get to heroin but I was headed there. I'll be clean 8 years at the end of next month. It's not easy at first, but it does get easier over time. Many people in the recovery groups are not truly willing to put in the time in order to recover. I didn't start to feel like a normal person until about 2-3 years into recovery. The brain needs time to "re-set" itself and it doesn't happen in a week or month. God bless and keep you in your recovery and life!
