"I walked the roads my forefathers walked; I climbed the trees my forefathers hung from." That line always gets me.

Can we just appreciate that there is a woman who translates the lyrics into sign language? Huge props for that, so few artists think of that

Very different. It was mesmerising when I first heard it at 11; it’s downright chilling, socially frustrating and yet, still a stone cold groove at 41.

I am playing this for my kids. They need to hear good music, to elevate their tastes past the garbage the record labels are pushing on young people today.

I remember the first time I heard this was at a soccer game I was playing in and the opposing team played it in warm-ups. And it was in a white community and we all loved it and understood the message and appreciate it still to this day. I remember us all being like, "Damn that's tight. Who is that?" Was 1993 I think
