Not only was it very clear she was abusing her kids, I think what’s really shallow and striking is the “my sister is not me, my sister is not my crimes” woman is such a vapid narcissist to the point where she didn’t even mention how terribly she felt for the kids, how awful and saddening the situation was, that should’ve been first and foremost, or even the only thing she said. Her apologies and condolences to the kids. She couldn’t even do that. She came on camera just to talk about herself, “clear her name” and make sure her sisters heinous crimes didn’t fall back on her. I was honestly shocked to hear this because it sounded just like what’s happened to me with a close friend and roommate who turned on me, the person caused everything that went wrong including a ton of hurt and pain for me and feeling uncomfortable and unsafe in my own home and they didn’t take any accountability and have started lying about me to others but some of the lies are so inconsequential that I wonder if they are truly in the same reality as everyone else

Possible, but previous patients of Jodi have reported she attempted or successfully convinced them about certain memories that turned out not to be true. Who knows if that's just mormon conspiracy with the whole concept of "implanted memories" or if it's fact. Given Jodis history of crossing boundaries and breaking up marriages to isolate and manipulate women/other weird cult shit she does, without any factual evidence we might never know.

It could also be something I've heard about regarding Teal Swan... supposedly in Utah, in Mormon areas especially, there are/were a lot of therapists and people who believe in Satanic Ritual Abuse and Recovered Memories. It's very possible that whatever person she was seeing did guide her towards false recovered memories. Mormon Stories Podcast covered this on Teal Swan, and I would not be surprised if it comes up in their discussions of Ruby Franke after this.

I think that’s because people were legitimately harassing them and their family over “not doing anything”. I understand not wanting your fucked up sister to ruin your life even further. My mom is bipolar and she makes up memories. She tells stories to people about me sometimes and I just have to smile and nod bc I know they are not true. She totally believes them though. It’s pretty harmless now. She’s properly medicated these days so it’s not so dramatic anymore. She used to image things happening when I was younger and I would get grounded for doing things that didn’t happen. It is super weird when you world doesn’t make sense when you are kid - bc you don’t have the brain capability to deal properly.

I honestly don't think that's what's going on here. I think Ruby and her siblings were victims of abuse themselves and they are in denial or have totally repressed everything. My grandfather was extremely abusive to all of his children and when my mother started talking about it they all accused her of making it up. It took them years to accept the things that happened to them.

I will say though, when it comes to parenting and other peoples personal parenting choices, there’s very little that can be done if nothing illegal is seen or heard. If Ruby Frankie was not actively telling her kids in front of her family that they were not allowed to eat, or, wrapping them up with duct tape. There’s one very little that could be done besides reports and hopefully a police investigation. Even as these things were being reported, by teacher ect the police failed these children on multiple occasions. I think Ruby put on a face in front of her family like most abusers do.

Im shocked how little research youve done, tbh. One of the men coming forward abt Jody says she ruined his life-- he was abused as a boy in the Boy Scouts, and has worked hard to raise awareness and get justice for him and the hundreds of boys traumatized by that organization-- he went to jody to continue his self-care, and she put him in the same group/couples counseling "program" as Ruby and her husband, and it looks like this might be Jody's MO. She claims boys and men as SA/abusers, and "implants memories"/lies to their loved ones as a way to control entire families. Interviews with her niece who she abused with her "tough love style" corroborate that this is sort of Jody's kink/power trip. Says she has some pretty severe mental diagnoses herself, and that she shouls never be in such a position of power over anyone. I predict this will be Ruby Franke's defense. Put it all on Jody, and her past clients will likely pile on. Jody will go down for this, and Ruby may eventually get limited visitation with her children in the future.

I think the “making up memories” point tracks because that is what one of Jodi’s former clients is now saying about her when he and his wife did therapy with her. He said at first he was doing couples therapy with a group of people that seemed to go well. When the couples were separated, that is when Jodi began to manipulate his wife, and that it appeared that she was distorting/manipulating or making up memories that his wife truly didn’t have. I saw him interviewed about this. This man is also a former child victim of abuse (self reported-I’m not saying this man’s info)

She's incredibly powerful in the Mormon church, and probably has dirt on the leadership.
