ARRESTED in the train station because this BALLERINA was dancing ?! 👮‍♂️🚔

I met the most graceful BALLERINA in a train station.. but we didn’t expect the police ! 👮
..
What would you do in this situation ??
.
Thanks to the star ‪@victoriadauberville‬ !
.
Piece : « La Foule » by Edith Piaf (my personal piano arrangement)
.
.
DISCLAIMER : this video has an entertainment and artistic purpose. In no way am I criticizing the work done by these security agents (who were actually quite nice to us).
I am however criticizing the fact that because of some « regulations », musicians (or dancers) are brutally stopped everytime they play with me at this public piano.
This kind of « regulation » is what makes classical music contained in concert halls and not accessible to everyone.
It goes against my mission which is to piano everywhere because classical music is for everyone.

I understand that they were being very cautious of not letting a huge crowd hather to keep people safe. We have the same challenges in Denmark but I have not yet seen the police stop a public performance. Instead, they call for back up and you would siddenly find lots of cops keeping an eye on he situation. People then disperse on their own. Maybe it's just the Danishrebellious or gutsy mentality of not allowing terrorism to win over. As compared to when we came here in 1998, policemen didnt even carry guns and were almost unseen. Now they're everywhere. It makes us feel safe but not panicky. In this case though, we just jave to trust their discernment regarding the sitiation. I understant this quite well coz I was with my family, with my then 2 very young sons at Ataturk airport on June 28, 2016 in the midst of a suicide bombing. As Christians we were also quite surprised at the incredoble peace and presence of mind that God have us. We went around praying for people having panic attacks while my phone kept beeping from messeges ftom news organizations after I posted our situation on facebook asking for prayers. Im just happy that my boys were not traumatized. My husband and I did our best to shield and protect hem, especially from seeing all that blood on the floor as we were asked to vacate the premises. We still fly very often, we still went atound to see Istanbul while waiting for our flight to be trebooked. We support our missionaries stationed there, risking their lives, hoping they could make a difference even if it's just one person at a time, transforming them to a mindset of love and oeace. We daily pray for that nation as a result of our experience. We were not traumatised by hearing the news. We were thre. We were also in Oslo during one of the bombings and offred flowers to temember the very young souls taken during thehorrific island shooting. God bless France and Europe. I just tralized how many times I have been cauģht in such situatìons. I remembervwalking homebin the middle of the night after a bomb threat resulted to closing of streets and cutting of public transport in Copenhagen. The way I see it, as believers, we are bearers of the presence of God and our presence brings either peace or protection in the midst of chaos. 🙏. Really sad though how our world has become the way it is... and to even hear of wars in our day and age, we have not learned anything in history. Inctrdibly sad 😔. Be safe our French friends.

@@Arch3r666 Technically the train station, even though open to the public is probably private property of SNCF (The inside is commercial space, they rent out for events). They will have rules, about performances within. Piano likely got a permit to perform music. But they lacked to permit to perform a music / dance show. Without regulation, train stations main purpose would at times be inhibited. Doubtful they actually arrest someone, this is France not the US. They either fine or trespass you (or even more likely just ask to stop and give a verbal warning). The arrest part was for clickbait.

Contacted by actu Paris, the SNCF was keen to clarify matters. First of all, *the two agents waited for the dancer to finish before approaching her.* They then simply reminded them that the piano area in the station was not an open stage and that authorization was required to perform there. A version confirmed by the principal concerned. Interviewed by BFM TV, Aurélien Froissart explained that the two men had offered to continue, as long as they didn't ask for money at the end of their performance.

I try to look this from more..... positive point of view? Like I assume that security stopped her out of fear that she might hurt someone or herself accidently as that was not controlled enviarment... or maybe she was dressed to revealing in public and considering this is europe where it isint out of norm to have more skin shown than covered druing summer (even if getting looked at little weirdly.... dependce on case I guess and in my experience)

If I’m not mistaken, those were security guards, not police. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Confirmed - SNCF (French national railway) security guards. Being a public entity, they might have authority to arrest anyway. IDK how those things work in France.

madness. With pop music, they would listen. But classic is to good for them. I would play more and call other police to it.
