A drama series/soap SL isn't necessarily good just because it moves you emotionally. That type of tricks are easy, and can be done by anyone - unless they totally lack empathy. Good SLs doesn't necessasarily move you emotionally, they can also appeal to your brain, sense of humor, or be so surprising and fast paced watching feels like a roller coaster ride for your brain or feelings. Others again have a moral or message which emerge when you see the ending. And the more true to real life people, reactions, feelings, motivations or more a SL is, the more relevant to real life and real people it is, and therefore also better. The trick is to tell a story which both viewers can identify with, or recognize aspects from real life in, at the same time as the story has a point or is surprising or pleasing of some sort, enough to watch for the viewers to reiman focused on it to the end.

Stupid ending for Jordan. Hollyoaks, you need better screenwriters. He should have found ella and Charlie under the table and told them to get out. As he opens the door to let them out, he sees victor coming back. And tells them to hide. A scuffle ensues between victor and jordan because victor finds out Jordan let sid and juliet go. Ella and Charlie seeing the struggle try to help Jordan and one of them picks up the knife (which turns out to be Ella) and ends up stabbing Jordan (if you want to kill Jordan) by mistake or something.

Ella and Charlie feared and thought that Jordan was going to kill them and Jordan was afraid that they were going to hurt/kill him.
