I get crap in the chat too about my damage as Hanzo, but here's the thing that most people miss: A Hanzo who's hitting headshots isn't going to do a lot of damage, because his targets are just...dead. It doesn't matter if it took 100 damage, or 1k damage to elim someone, the important thing is they got sent back to spawn. Keep up the amazing Hanzo gameplay, you inspire me daily to improve and climb. 💪

To my plat eyes, damage wasn't issue. Rest of your team was being bit too passive and gave them more room to find flanks etc. In your other games, when your team is more aggressive, opponents don't have time to go Hanzo hunting.

Damage isn't the metric anyone should use to judge a Hanzo/widow, high damage low kills is actually a sign of not playing the characters right. High kills is what you should judge, but those numbers could be deceiving as well

@@MysticMicrowaveYeah anyone can just shoot the tank and get the most damage, it's not hard at all to farm damage. Shooting the tank just farms enemy support ults (granted a bit slower) but puts very little pressure on their supports bc they have so much time to react and heal the tank. Low rank players will shoot the tank all day and instead just blame their teammates for not helping them kill the tank, or they just brag that they have the most damage so that means they're carrying. Low rank games can be fun but my god am I glad im not down there. All of my friends are silver-gold basically and I cant imagine having to put up with that garbage every game

I think your playstyle works really well on attack but it's definitely too passive on defense. Hanzo can put a lot of pressure on tank and I think going back and forth would really push you. Love your content and how open you are about what it takes to be a streamer. I hope youre taking care of your mental health tbh

he's 25/8 with 7k damage and the other dps is 27/15 at double the damage. But he's the one that gets called out. He's picking off squishies while the other dps just pumps damage into the tank and gets rewarded for it (by not being called out). Absolutely hate this new thing where people call out damage and have no clue about context. I see these people once a day call out my widow duo who can have 15 kills, 2 deaths, and maybe 3k damage while everyone else is 17/8 with 8k damage ... and we're winning. Sometimes when I see people call out damage numbers, I really want to just sit and pump into the tank - why bother getting dps/support kills when you can just make that damage number climb and kill nothing? but at least that sweet damage number will be high. Meanwhile I'll see a junkrat with 2k damage and zero kills or a bastion with 6k damage and 5 kills ... but they never get called out because A) they aren't a widow and B) they're DURR DUUR number is high.

FR FR. Some heroes just naturally have lower damage numbers but they can still be doing their job/have high value. Widows/Hanzos, punish flankers like Tracers/Sombras, or in general the dps who cleans up low health enemies often. People just sorta forget that big numbers =/= value. It could just as well mean you're shooting a bunch at the wrong target and letting DPS unga-bunga brain take over instead of picking off important enemies when needed.
