ashton's fruit-description minigame really made me think about how taste works in/off exandria. why do the various races taste in the same way? _do_ the various races taste in the same way? some of them (unlike fcg) definitely don't have human tongues, so is taste a magical property instead? is it part of a loyalty/reward-punishment system put in place by the divinity? gonna need another 9 years to suss this out, i say.

Taste is mostly dependent on diet and having to identify potential toxic food. And in the case of a similar diet(what the foot is made of like carbs and fats), you would also likely have similar taste chemoreceptors. Apart from biology, psychologically I think it is just as different between humans. Our taste preferences can vary wildly as well.

I did the same! Watched the animated series, caught up on campaign 3, and then began campaign 2 while waiting for the campaign 3 episodes. It's been fun, but I'm on episode 60 and it feels less developed than campaign 3 imo. The group feels less cohesive (lots of conflict and mistrust among them), there isn't a main plot (yet), most of their time has been mercenary work or quests for their individual character - there are some awesome moments, it's just a different vibe. Just thought I'd throw my take out there since a lot of people who watched campaign 2 as it aired prefer it to campaign 3.

I think it would be cool if some Reilorans were able to come to Exandria and then in Campaign 4 one of the players is a Reiloran, just like how in campaign 2 they revived the Aeormatons and now we have FCG in campaign 3. Also, my favorite thing of this episode is that Ashton is playing a game of questions with one of the denizens of Ruidus and out of all the things that they can ask, they want to know what certain fruits and berries taste like.
