Arrival Honors for President José Ramos-Horta of Timor-Leste 11/10/2023

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. welcomes President José Ramos-Horta of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to the Malacañan Palace as the latter is on a four-day State Visit to the Philippines from November 8-11 2023.
Accompanied by the rest of his delegation, the Timorese President is accorded with arrival honors and signs the guestbook before proceeding to a private meeting with the Chief Executive.
Anchored in further advancing the relations between their two countries, President Marcos Jr. and President Ramos-Horta are set to hold a bilateral meeting to further strengthen various areas of cooperation in terms of political, technical, educational and economic partnerships.
They are also set to deliver their respective statements in a joint press conference afterwards.
During a meeting at the sidelines of the 42nd Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit in Indonesia last May 2023, President Marcos Jr. expressed support to Timor-Leste towards becoming a full-pledged member of the regional bloc, saying that the Philippines has always been supportive and a partner to the said country.
