Excellent work commander, you kicked the collectors right in the butt with no casualties, and gave us one of the best playthroughs of this game, it's been a joy seeing this journey and can't wait to see you continue into me3. The music that plays while Shepard is fighting alone against all those waves of enemies, while harbinger is taunting you, such a badass moment. Shepard truly is the galaxies first and last line of defence, no wonder harbinger took such an interest in him and humanity.

I love the warning the computer gives you. Look man, if you press this button you will kill about 305000. Are you sure? I remember one lets play that was like "Yes. Y. E. S." And you HAD to do it. The Alpha relay was the reapers back up plan. If they can't use the citadel as a mass relay, they just use the Alpha relay which links to EVERY mass relay in the galaxy, including the citadel. Destroying the relay was the only option to not just delay the reapers but give you a better chance at defeating them. They can't decapitate the galaxy so easily. They have to march for it. Anyway... Commander Atticus Shepard! You destroyed the collectors, saved colonists, changed the shadows, and just blew up an entire star system! What are you going to do now?

LMAO please don't touch the big red button... "Atticus - Oops" Rough choice to do that but just as you said it was really necessary as grim as it sounds. So much more people would be destroyed if the Reapers had this relay to go were they wanted at all times. Harbinger was pissed lol good I'm happy that we are public enemy number one of the Reapers. And ohh goodness I can only imagine the things Atticus is going to have to do next. It feels like how can we even do more epic and terrible things then what we already did.

@@Bowskii Fun fact, if you wait for the timer to run out you get an animation showing exactly what happens when the reapers surge through. They take the citadel, Normandy is destroyed, You die and get buried at the crash site with your helmet marking your grave, everyone is rounded up in front of the reapers, and Kelly screams as she melts.... Fun stuff...

Ah, the Arrival DLC. The one where you really feel that it is indeed the final one for ME2, mainly because it canonically takes place after finishing the main missions and serves as a bridge to ME3, and also because how most of the Voice actors weren't available lol. Even Joker doesn't say anything at the final part where the Normandy picks you up.

really great DLC it did path the way for us into ME3 for sure. It also looked a bit more updated for some reason to me so it must have been a good deal of time after ME2 before this DLC came out.

I think I'm more excited for you to start the final game than I was when I started it myself hahaha. What a friggin game Mass Effect 2 was! I wish I had done this DLC like you, after the suicide mission, cause when I played it instead of Harbinger I just got the collector queen giving me some vague threats...This is a much more fitting end to 2 and a great cliffhanger for 3. My only real complaint is that they didn't let us make the choice in the end (an awesome table-turning of the bring down the sky from ME1), but that would have changed too much of the story going forward. Anyway, I'm so thankfull I found this channel all those years ago and that I get to share in all the hype!

What a journey and what a high note to end it with Arrival, I still remember the hype of seeing Hackett for the first time lol, and congrats on the Object Rho section, you held up on even on Insanity. That section is meant to be very difficult as you're supposed to "die" and get taken, you held up so much that eventually the artifact knocked you out, also, that's an achievement in your cabin's desk! Take your time to look at your medals in your room to see what you've accomplished :) I'm very excited to see what you think of ME3, I'm glad your expectations are very high and can't really say it's unwarranted, I think you'll enjoy it a lot ❤️

Awesome game from start to finish! I'm gonna forever remember this one. So many high moments so many great scenes and companions. Damn I didn't realize that was an achievement I need to look at them now that I am done. I didn't get pinged with any thing whole time I don't think I wish more games would make a loud noise when we get one lol. Such a cool fight! When I first played this and saw that number of estimated deaths I was like “damn Shepard definitely burned that number into his head cuz he knew it was either kill those hundred thousands to give the rest of the galaxy more time or let them arrive right there.”

It's terrible to say because of all them deaths but I don't think we had a choice. Just like you said it would be so much more if they flood the galaxy from this relay. I got a terrible feeling with this one. Definitely hurt my insides but it's only gonna get worse from here when they arrive.

and here we are.. perfect DLC for the end. Shepard ending up in a station full of crazy indoctrinated people waiting for Reapers to arrive and "bless them".. just another routine mission lol! it's a shame we couldn't have companions here but Shepard ended the playthrough with a bang!! the reaper scene is creepy.. funny detail.. if you do it BEFORE suicide mission you have a hologram of possessed Collector there, because they are still Reaper's agents, but you got an actual Reaper! and don't worry, you didn't miss any important dialogue with Dr. Kenson. if you try to talk to her once more she literally just says no and presses the button anyway.. What a ride this game has been. as good as first one is this game is epic, the companions all and new, so amazing, the overall story, their personal quests. all top class. in fact I can only name one thing in this game as a negative, and that is companion AI that is HORRIBLE at time, they can do maddening stupid stuff and can't stay in cover. that's literally my only complaint in otherwise perfect game. and you'll be happy to know that AI is better in next game :) so excited for first episode of ME3 today!

good to know about no missing Dialogue because we killed her quick. But wow what a awesome DLC it was straight to the point and it seems like a huge set up for the next game. It seems like it was so much better to do it after since we get Harbinger at the end it makes so much more sense this way. The AI in ME2 was rough at times I always wanted to put them behind cover but for some reason they would just kneel down behind it and never shoot. Lets do hope ME3 does get it better in that category. But I'm so excited this was a special playthrough for me I loved everything about his game and I will miss it dearly but I'm so ready to see the end of Atticus story but no hurry as I want to savor it.

That was an absolute monster of a fight holy moly. That mech had us down to like 1 hp. That little nook we went to helped so much that and the big guns. But wow it was fun as heck. Funny that we still got knocked out in the end.

Since you did this last, I take it some recommended it? Would you be okay with a recommendation for ME3's dlc? If so, From Ashes DLC is something to do asap, while Citadel DLC is recommended for endgame, like Arrival. I'll say it again, can't wait for ME3! lol

yeah there was a good deal of recommendations for the DLCs in this game I kind of just did a few scattered but leaving this to the end was a great recommendation. And thanks for the ME3 DLC recommendations I start recording it here in the morning but I will keep an eye out for these DLC names. Cant wait to start it!

Wow nice job surviving that fight! You're technically supposed to just die there and wake up sedated so surviving until the object takes you out is an achievement I think. Wouldn't expect anything less from your gameplay. Overall my biggest problem with this DLC is that they give it to you in the middle of the game and not after you finish the suicide mission. In my opinion the second Shepard heard that there was a Reaper invasion from Hackett he should've just forgotten about the collectors and wait straight after that. As a whole, I felt the DLC in ME2 just wasn't integrated well into the overall story. There is a mod called DLC Timing Mod that greatly improves this. Thankfully in ME3 Bioware did a much better job with the DLC integration imo. For ME3 I think some things are better and while some things are worse. You're just going to have to find out!

That fight was so bad ass you know I was just loving that stuff it felt like a last stand just Holding the line!! LOL so freaking cool. I really liked this DLC a lot it was short and just right to the point. I will say I wish the DLC wasn't given to us so early but it didn't kill it for me. The stuff we learned and the position Shepard was in with what he must do was rough. So cool to actually see Admiral Hackett in person totally unexpected. This ultimately felt like a big set up for Mass Effect 3 which will be really interesting at this point. Cant wait to ME3 just a few days away but I'm so excited for it! What a ride! Arrival DLC really does feel like it should have only been available after the suicide mission. Just feels like the perfect transition. And it’s great seeing Hackett in person after hearing him over the radio the whole time in the first and second game. Totally agree with you on the missing dialogue in me2. Probably my biggest gripe with this one. Definitely frustrating not to get your companion’s thoughts, especially with an RPG. But still a great time. Excited to see what you think of me3. Just a crazy, crazy end to the trilogy. I think you’ll like some of the changes based on your wishlist. But we’ll see. XD

Mass Effect 1 was special but this game was just unbelievable and will go down as one of my favorite games ever made. And Arrival I feel should have been locked as well like the Trespasser DLC from DAI. It felt awesome to be done at the end like this.

Im just wondering if theres a misinterpretation here, when they are referring to Citadel relay, they dont mean the Mass Relay you travel in the game. They are referring to the Citadel itself, its a Direct Link to Dark Space, the Reapers use it to cut off travel to all inbound ships and Relay based communications to make the Harvest of isolated system easier with out having to deal with back forces coming through the relays. The Reapers have the ability to control who can and cannot enter a relay, but that control is only available through the Master Citadel relay. I could have misheard what you said though? The Al for this DLC was partially written/created with in development tested ME3 coding so it goes a bit harder than the others.

Yeah it may have came out wrong sometimes me thinking one thing don't fully get explained right when I speak it lol. But I think at first when I heard it I was thinking the actually relay at the Citadel was like the Alpha relay and then I talked about the Citadel and mucked it up alittle bit. So this alpha relay lets the Reapers just go to any relay possible where ever they want but they would still need to come through dark space on their own since we stopped the actually Citadel relay. Kind of just delaying them more in a way like Harbinger was saying. Scary freaking stuff.. The AI was really good in this DLC I was having a tough time with the lock on for some reason.

Hopefully your read this before starting Mass Effect 3: The Tutorial of all the new functions in ME3, please for the love of all things good and awesome in the Universe you have to get it right, I have faith you will, but it really is the Difference between ME2 and ME3 and using the new tools that makes a ME3 playthrough truly great. Ive watched a lot of ME3 Lets Play's since Legendary dropped and 80% of players screw it up and dont learn, they dont, and they play ME3 as just extension of 2 with out truly experiencing the huge difference. You will see and feel the difference immediately, so please read the on screen prompts, look at the combat hints and just absolutely enjoy the Fuck out of the new systems they really do give you an edge. This series is a passion of mine for over 10 years, seeing a new generation of players balls it up repeatedly is painful to watch, so I apologise if my enthusiasm gets the better of me. This was a Tremendous playthrough, exceptionally well done, thorough and well read, so much reading lol Very well done.

But other than that the system is unbelievable and I'm already catching on to the none stop spamming and combos which I think that's what you're referring too. This mission is one of my least favorites in the game, don't get me wrong I love the gameplay and the scenery with the mass relay in the background, very pretty. But the fact that you don't have a choice if you want to exterminate a entire system left a bad taste in my mouth, just to set up a plotline for ME 3... This mission also has a big plothole. Everyone on the asteroid was already indoctrinated but they just waited until Shepard arrived to sabotage the project? does not make sense if they wanted the Reapers to arrive. Regardless, i still love this game and loved your playthrough my friend! It was a joy to watch your reaction and emotions as you played this game. lets go ME 3 now🥳🥳

I'm still sitting here wondering to myself why aren't we indoctrinated atm since we stayed in that place for 2 days lol. Really tough decision... if we were able to make the choice. I hate to say it because it might make me sound heartless but I think I still would have done the same thing. I regret killing Kenson to quick I feel like we could have got more dialogue with her. And finally get to only two games. I don't have it in me to put Mass Effect series on hold till we finish Detroit I need to see what happens from here 😂. We have around only 6-10 videos left of Detroit so it will be very quick.

Here we are!! The end.. a bittersweet moment but I'm stoked to see the future of these games.

As great as ME2 is, what really bothers me is the main plot. Let's be honest, it's essentially filler. The Collectors are a complete side show. The writers should have focussed on the amazing villain that they built up in the first game.

I really enjoyed the story of ME2. The collectors definitely felt like a side enemy for sure. Would have loved one to two more missions to fight them. But ultimately yeah it was a lore dump and a minor speed bump to get to the real enemy. The Reapers.
