Great video and wise words about getting out of a comfort zone. I did just that, and have never looked back! SE Asia is just such a great place to be. Quality and informative work Alex 😀🙏

I am currently applying for TEFL jobs for the firs time in south east asia. I'm Swedish but also a native English speaker who has been living in the UK for the past 8 years. I'm excited and hoping I'll find a placement.

Been enjoying your videos for a while now. I once saw you at the Olympia gym in tay ho, Hanoi but felt too awkward to say hi. keep doing what you're doing man!

Awesome! Next time say hi, I like meeting people who've seen my videos. Although I'm usually pretty in the zone at gym. :)

Hi Alex, what country do you think is easier to start teaching for the first time. Just from your videos and others it seams like Thailand is easier to get used to because lots of people speak English while Vietnam has better opportunities.
@ninja.teacher8 жыл бұрын
either can be good - actually in the next video I'm about to put up I talk about how there's no right answer to which country it "better" to start in so stayed tuned for that.

Hey Alex is it true you can only teach legally in three schools in Thailand if you don't have a full teaching qualification from your home country? Thanks for the help!

Hi i got teaching job offer to teach math in Thailand for 23000B. Can you let me know if it's a good option to do ? Thanks
@jonathanlovesadventure78386 жыл бұрын
That does not seem very good. The minimum is around 35,000

23,000 THB is peanuts. 35,000 thb is the minimum to expect.

Hey Alex, cool video! :) I hear that thailand doesnt pay as well as say Vietnam etc? Is that true? .. Do schools there pay towards your accomodation etc? Also, with vietnam, you can work part-time right? or there are more opportunities to work part time than thailand? is that true?
@damienlee548 жыл бұрын
Vietnam is a lot more flexible in regards to teaching hours, whereas Thailand usually requires their English teachers to put in 8hrs/day at a school/language center. The pay in Vietnam is also much better.

Hey man! During your teaching career. Have you ever heard of someone from North America getting caught for faking a bachelor degree? And I know it's considered fraud in USA. But it's not like your faking a PHD or doctoral and opening a practice as a Dr.... It's just a simple 4 year diploma...it can be in any subject....would you be simply fired and deported? Or would they land charges on you and end up in jail?
@sullenday5 жыл бұрын
Lol are you asking for a friend??? Ya you'll get deported if caught.
