Honestly I prefer the 8s, it's a beast. My buddy brought his 6s kraton, I had my 8s and there was really no comparison, the 8s shoots off dust like a 4 wheeler

I can see Arrma going from the Vorteks $330 to the Kraton 4s for $450 and then the kraton 6s at $550, but then $999 for 8s.. -I'm thinking wtf!😂

Honestly I've had them all twice got out of RC and thinking about getting back into it again but in my opinion the typhoon 6s is one of the best bashers out there and also the granite 3s or the little upgrades is a great basher but I'm probably going to go for the kraton 8s this time because I have not had that one yet the kraton 6s I had before was great for jumping flips and speed runs

Yeah that's a good choice but The stock one is way under powered You're way better off getting the EXB roller version of it And putting a castle system in it like the XLX2

i just purchased the 6s maybe after its paid off i will get the 8s?? very very hard decision but i liked the speed of the 6s from vids i had seen most my runs are speed runs on a soccer and football field the 8s just seems to be too heavy thank you for a great video!

I've been into RC for 38 years now and the Kraton 6S I got in 2019 was my first brushless model. I've since gotten the Senton 3S, Infraction 6S, Granite 3S and Typhon 6S... My dilemma right now is that the Kraton 8S EXB is on sale for $850... Is the 8S worth getting when you have the 6 or am I pretty much getting the same truck only bigger and will wind up shelving one of them in favor of the other?

Just played with my friends 8s and it was unbelievably fast.. drifts with easy 100 percent is almost “too much” power it’s amazing.. but idk if my wife will divorce me if I spend a grand on a rc.. so I might have to go to the 6s.. it just doesn’t look as fun 😓

I think the smaller 6s is more agile/nimble and has a good speed and balance...the 1/5 seem underpowered unless you upgrade the motor for higher power!!!! Imo it needs more kick for being so heavy

I just got the kraton 6s v5 but I dont know what oil to use on it... Thinking of 60K front 30k rear 500k center What do you suggest? Bare in mind I wanna baby my diffs for a long time and keep them good.. I run 2 3s

500k center, 60k front and 60k rear would be the best way As long as your oil in your center differential is thicker That's all that matters and Make sure to redo them every 90 days or so.

I just put one million weight oil in my center differentials on all my Arrma 6s vehicles just to try it out. So far it's been working pretty good The outcast Is a backflip beast now Even more than it was before And my kraton 6s is awesome 👌 now

6S all day. The 8S has diminishing returns for gain when you factor in weight vs performance. When I see the 8S Kraton jump, I think....when pigs fly. The only 5th scales I like are the Losi DBXLE and the Losi 5B. Cheers

@@stringsattached67 To each their own, right? They are big and cool, I just feel like the performance is lost with all the extra weight. If you have the space to let them fully open up, I’m sure the fun isn’t lacking. The 6S is just the right size for me for most of the parks and places I would take them to, whereas the 8S would need WAY bigger spaces to fully use it’s size and weight….I feel.

This is a old video, but the 6s is better. You werent pushing as both could clear the full tar pit if you would have tried. Would have done it in only a few trys with both. The 8s didnt come close to impressing me. You drove it like it was made out of china. Should have saved the cash and got the new v5 6s hraton, an a 6s typhon. Just my 2 cents worlth.

10 pounds more than the X-Maxx is a bit of an exageration. The xmaxx is 19.6 and the Kraton is 24.2 pounds. I personally prefer the Losi Super Rock Rey for where i run RCs as far as electrics go. Next is the 3XLE before i retired it. The 5ive T is by far my favorite. I have the Outcast 8s and the Kraton EXB but i dont use them much. Especially the Outcast as it breaks 4 out of every 5 runs. Ive had it for probably about 6 months and probably ran it about 20 times. Just not my go to RC.
