another test day, and not all went well...
every time I went to run either dog walkers appeared or cars pulled out which caused a lot of stress, and untimely made me feel like a nuisance !!!
8k onyx batteries not heated!
a big achievement by me with this new PB! on to the next PB

Thanks, yea was just turning out slowly so as not to unsettle the car, unfortunately I was just that wee bit to slow snd then it got pulled in by the gravel. The traffic wasn’t great, it’s a new road so I’m hopeful in the summer evenings it will be a lot quieter 👍 Thanks for watching phil.

Mate you where lucky with that last run... You really don't want that thing hitting you at any speed never mind 140 odd.... And I actually thought the damage would have been worse, rocks and all sorts laying at the side of the road ..... Looked like a long day mate. The L driver was a pain... What a dope. I'm looking forward to seeing you crack that 162mph. 😉👌

I’ve only been to it a few times, it was grand the last time. In the summer when it’s daylight to late on, there will be less people and traffic, all factors will be closed

@@audiquattrojamie Man I cant wait for summer. My goal is 165mph current PB is 134mph. How do you feel about running locked differentials. Im locked all the way around and feel my girl is hard to control now. Im thinking about pulling the front locker.

@@TurtleRc 100% remove front locker, I only run a locker in the rear and 500k in the front, car works extremely well. Honestly one of the best purchases I’ve made so far was the carbon chassis, it is expensive but it has no flex so under power the car goes straight as an arrow, it stands up to crashes extremely well as well, where as a standard would bend and twist.

Very very lucky to get away with minimal damage, what are you using to heat your batteries?

Hot food bag heat matts, they go to 60 degrees c. But I don’t think my batteries are heating well enough as I have a protective outer shell around the battery itself so the heat isn’t transferring into the cells as they should

It was 9 degrees c that day, we had 5 inches of snow 3 days ago and -9 lol do it’s up and. It wasn’t the cars fault, I was just turning out to slowly so as to try and keep the car stable, I was just that little bit to slow lol

@@rcspeedrunner just be sure to go slow and get use to the foams, get use to how the car steers and manoeuvres on the foams.
