I have both, the Mojave is a little faster and handles better but the suspension in my UDR is more capable on a rough surface, seems to absorb bumps better. As for reliability my mojove has overheated once and lost multiple wheels, I have had no break downs with my UDR as of yet. So the UDR seems reliable to me. I love them both to be honest.

I think although they both have Short course body’s they’re not really the same type of car underneath Traxxas should make a Giant Slash 4x4 vxl In order to be a more fair comparison . I think at the time of UDR concept it was to cover Losi Super baja Rey . Two different horses wearing the same clothing .

@@mark-1rc502 the super Baja rey is way tougher car than the udr. It jumps better, a little faster and a true basher. I had a udr for 14 months. Tried to upgrade it, still rolled a lot...

P8ntballa Yeah I like the Losi more than the UDR The more I read and see about the UDR the less I like it . I had a few gripes . Mostly being Losi and in Uk was parts can be expensive . Often they’d need to be sourced from the US, and import duty’s plus shipping , really get my blood boiling 🤬. Screws are imperial = pain in the arse. And the car is quite expensive and since it weighed a bomb I didn’t think it’d be quick as UDR . But I do regret selling my Losi ten SCBE I liked that buggy, 😢

Thats a very good question. I don't think this is gonna work. but i'm not sure. found the following information about that: "The STX2 and SRX200 utilize the FHSS 2.4GHz protocol and are NOT compatible with Spektrum DSM, DSM2 or DSMR transmitter or receivers."

@@FastRCNet I've spent well over a thousand bucks having to fix it. Plus Traxxas always has battery issues. Now the TSM is stuck on the "ON" position. The car breaks quite easily. Just too much. I want durability and reliability.

do you bash it? a lot of people miss the point of the UDR. it's not a basher. mojave vs udr comparison is a bad comparison. should be the losi sbr vs udr.

From everything I've heard and seen from friends and others on here the udr just constantly breaks. My friend literally breaks his every other run and not even really bashing, more like just running it. But I think the udr does look awesome!

If comparing the two, might as well address the elephant in the room. The UDR is a solid axle rig. ie- scale but will never bash, jump as well as the independent suspension the Mojave is. The Mojave is basically a big SCT which is great for bashing.

To me the comparison makes a lot of sense. they look familiar. size is +/- the same. no one of the two is better. if one likes to bash - the mojave is probably the way to go. if power drifting and nice 'scale' runs is what you like - you probably should go with the traxxas udr.

Well even the founder of arrma himself said if you want scale bashing and realism get the udr but if you want to just bash and have speed get the Mojave, the udr was never meant to jump super high and survive so

I’m thinking of buying another one I have a traxxas slash 4x4 ,not sure if the Baja Rey or udr, 🤔 I need to do more research on Losi,which I never had a product from them,traxxas I know for sure good service in the Warranty

Traxxas has a great parts support and usually their products stay on the market for years. Losi cars are awesome but a lot of great cars that have been released within the last 10 years are not available anymore. had several Losis and all were driving great. Nevertheless i decided to keep the Traxxas cars and sold all my Losis.

@@FastRCNet Two good rc designs. Saw tonnes of reviews. The Mojave is based of a proven design like their 1/10 scale version. The UDR is made to mimic an actual trophy truck. Looks very similar on the outside but they're very different on the inside. The Losi SBR, now that's a completely different beast in my opinion. Your video provided some good inputs to my next choice of rig.

My buddy and I should have done that video. I smoke his UDR every time we go out. If he isn't struggling to keep up; he's broke. Usually differential related, or bearings. Not the driver either because if we switch I get left behind. He's looking at a Ray. He's so sick of TRAXXAS.

Traxxas and Arrma make awesome cars. and very different cars. That's awesome for us bashers. There are some Traxxas cars we wouldn't buy again and there are Arrma cars we wouldn't buy again. But both companies have so many awesome cars. And then don't forget Losi .... ;) If you don't have fun with a car give it another try on another bash spot or bike track or skatepark. sometimes some cars are really fun, but not on all surfaces or under all conditions. If you have fun with your car, it's the right car. if it comes from Traxxas or Arrma or Maverick or even wl toys :)

As much as I like the Mojave it’s a unfair comparison due to them having totally different chassis and suspension layouts. Even tho these trucks might look the same once you take off the body you will see just how different these two are.

i know what you mean. same same but different ;). but they're actually the same size. they look quite similiar. both are large scale short course / desert trucks. as we said. if you're about scale - traxxas udr. if you wanna bash some harder - arrma mojave 6s

Save your money and buy a Losi Baja Rey.. it’s a 3s and it’s faster than my 6s Mojave. I enjoy more my Baja Rey

Yes my Losi raptor Baja Rey is super fun and fast ..and can jump too..I enjoy Losi raptor Baja Rey more than my SBR2 and UDR

@@FastRCNet No Mojave against Super Baja Rey I have a UDR and a 30 degree's North Super Desert Truck like the SBR but in my opinion better a lot better and I have put it up against the UDR it trounces the UDR every time.

@@FastRCNet Not yet, only now freeing up time to do vid's, early retired both myself and my wife but unfortunately she died in 2017 same year she retired aged 60. I am mainly a gas guy ten of them, one nitro Savage my first and only nitro, raced FG two wheel drive buggy back in the day then 4x4 MCD truck, then over the years collected only gas I say ten that is ten running and maybe four or five in various states of repair, just got the tech now and learning to use it, at the moment, hey I can't even upload to KZbin yet im old school, self taught computer, just got a V-tol plane sort of cross between a drone and a plane, and doing well so maybe a drone in my future the V-tol is a good way to learn for both drone and plane, once mastered my GoPro's, Nikon camera GPS speed etc, having plenty of time at the moment rain six day's, one dry, repeat, and intermittant showers get ready to go out the heavans open, dog walk dry, load car pissing down you get the picture, also moved away from my nome area so limited RC guy's here.

@@FastRCNet It is not a LOSI but something very similar but a lot better cheaper also, and 99.9% of LOSI upgrades fit, you can find uploads on here, one from Taiwan I think, the other German and quite long. Made by 30 degree's North and it is a Super Desert Truck nicer body more F150 lookalike even comes with a FORD logo if you want to use it, or the company logo or leave blank.

it's not about the brands. it's about the cars. if we would have to choose between the granite 4x4 or the stampede 4x4. the stampede would make it!... it's about having fun and the cars. forget about the brands ;)

@@baddazzgarage2953 i have driven both of 'em. granite shocks are leaking. that's a no go. electronics aren't good. handling of the granite is great. there are only personal opinions and experiences. something like a global opinion doesn't exist. my opinion: the price / value of the granite might be better and the handling is great too. but overall the stampede 4x4 is the better package.
