Arrma New 3S Line Vendetta & Infraction How Much power Will It Hold ? My thought?

Earl put a centre bearing on the Infractions centre drive shaft when running brushless. At the higher rpm the shaft flexes so much it rubs on the 2 flat washer that are on the servo fixing screws & wears 2 grooves in the plastic drive shaft. Which can then snap the shaft, Phillip Jolley had this same problem on his shorter wheelbase Vorteks speed run car with no centre bearing. His shaft snapped clean in half, JT RC also has this same problem on his 3s Infraction brushless upgraded car. Where he has the 2 grooves worn by the flexing & rubbing on the servo washers also.

I'm. Impressed how easy the vendetta handled 4s and 90 mph. I tried 6s in a Slash too,it would go airborne around 60. Thanks for the info.

Im running 6s on my arrma senton 3s v3, stick drivetrain but 6s capable 3670 2150kv motor and 6s capable 120a esc. Havent had any issues running stock gearing

Good to see arrma went with the bigger brushless .8 mod gearing on the brushed infraction… I converted a mega typhon awhile back and had to swap the pinion and spur to .8 mod. They use tiny gear teeth in the mega. Totally agree with you on how little surprise we should be by the speed, these cars on an off-road platform are as fast as a 8th scale rig, so running on smooth flat pavement with low mass tires, they are so fast! I run a three of my 3s Arrma s on 4s, I run my typhon and senton stock motors on 4s, my big rock with a 3674 low kv motor to allow for higher mass tires< but driveline holds up on them. I bet you get 100 miles an hour with another week of playing around. I love this platform, they are light and durable,. I like my 6s 7th and 8th scale stuff, but truthfully you can get similar speeds

Great to know it will hold up to 4s ive the esc to put into it. This is going to be a fun line of cars to tweak up. Looking forward to see what/if Basherqueen puts out some carbon fiber for these. Love how that vendetta just easily sticks to the ground and runs straight.

I agree can’t wait to fully modify my own vendetta it stick to the road pretty well I notice the front way up in the air but it doesn’t flip 😜🤷🏻‍♂️but a splitter should help that 🔥🔥

As I keep reading info on forums and watching videos about the Vendetta, including yours, it's clear very few people are having issues with the RC itself. It's just that Arrma tagged on a hefty price tag compared to others in the 3S lineup and it's hard to see where the value of that is, aside from the body. I wish this was priced the same as the Vorteks.

I agree but I noticed the upgrades seems to be the old 4s line on parts but with a 3s esc motor seems fine so an esc change and it’s a 4s lone rc wonder if the 4s line coming back stronger 🤔🤔🤔

@@earlmoorhead5555 Can the Vendetta drive the same as the Infraction Mega? Just drift it around and road bash? Or will the gearing not let it do that? Wondering if it's better/cheaper to get a Vendetta than buy a Mega Infraction and a new ESC/motor combo.

I would drop the speed gearing out of it to bash it as I’ve overpowered the motor already and wouldn’t want to burn it up on 4s 🔥🔥🔥

I do wish when Arrma makes something like the Vendetta, a car Jess and I both have said should be made, that Arrma would acknowledge where they got "their" ideas or send 1 for us to "Test"! Just how I see it. They know. We are glad they made it, at any rate.

Earl the only time you need to cut is with the hot racing diff gears. If you can't find the 2mm thin nut to fit the clutch housing. If you use the 3s plastic nut thingy with the 3 tabs on it to stop slipper from coming loose. Being a auto mechanic you have a better chance at finding the right size nut. Apparently it's a odd size!!!

@@earlmoorhead5555 No not that I know of, just the what, 47tooth spur stock size. I'd like to see hot racing shorten the shaft length on the metal output diff gear. To fit the 3s trucks! Or have they shortened that shaft???

To break the clutch you really have to over tighten the slipper to a big degree, the brass. Thing is just a bushing. What truly breaks is the aluminum who snaps.

29 t pinion that I had but I’m hopeful that arrma 32t .08 pinion might be smaller then what I have right now I just have the speed pinion back on that came with the rc waiting on the one from horizon optional parts list 🔥🔥

Earl. Did you put a center bearing on the Infraction after going brushless that clips on the chassis like the Vendetta? JT ruined his centered driveshaft after going brushless because the center driveshaft wobbles too much from the extra power. Just a heads up 👍
