That's why I like just rear wheel drive for the faster trucks. The drive on the front wheels does very little for traction with the weight transfer to the rear during acceleration. Two wheel drive gives a simpler vehicle with a better power to weight ratio.

to do the self righting, and backflips, you have to set the punch to 9 in the esc. the manual will show you how to do it. super easy, and insane once you do it.

Yeah, having such capable trucks now definitely makes me crave an actual RC track. I've found out that a BMX track is being built nearby, this spring, and have contacted the owner about possibly allowing RCs, or having RC events. I am going to get in contact with him this spring, when construction begins, and see what we can work out. :)

Looks like the body will have some war wounds! I think it looks slow because Ryan is taking it easy he is not going all out leaving it floored for to long.

Yeah, it's got some road rash already, but it actually makes the truck look even cooler, since that 'shop truck' design looks good with some wear and tear. :) Not sure why anyone thinks this looks slow! It's crazy fast. And yeah, I didn't floor it for too long, but I did get some full throttle hits and it sure looks fast to me. Maybe it just doesn't come across well on video.

I reviewed their old nano drone, and Sky Viper did send me a couple of their new models, but not the M500 for some reason. Maybe I'll just go out and buy it myself, because I am curious to see if they fixed the dropout issue that the original had.

Wow that is super fast. Runs like a scalded dog. How fast would you say this is stock on the 6S?

They say 60mph, but that's probably with the optional on-road-only pinion gear. So, maybe 50ish with the stock gearing. :)

In the future when camera quality gets better, sure. This is 1080P 60FPS, so it's about as good as it gets for now. There isn't much point in filming in 4K yet.

Yep, I'll be back soon! As for those micro brushless racers... the problem with those is that I just don't have a very good way of showing them on camera, especially the FPV aspect. Something that small, but brushless, would have to be flown outdoors, and therefore it wouldn't show up on my hatcam very well at all. :/

Well, it started out with being sick, but since then I've just been busy, or not inspired enough to film. It takes a lot out of me, and I have to be in the right mood for it. But, mostly, it's just being busy... I can only film on Saturdays, so if I have any other obligation on a Saturday, that pretty much ruins my chance to film. And my parents are getting ready to move out of the state, so I've been spending a lot of time helping them prepare for that.

Doesn't look slow at all to me. I'd say it's even faster then a few nitro powered trucks I've had. Might need longer wheelie bars though to keep that beast from flipping lol.

Once I get a feel for the throttle, I expect to be able to get better at launches without wheelies, and get better speed runs. It is definitely fast though, but I just can't go full throttle for long in this small lot, so I think people just aren't getting a proper sense of its abilities. I also am only running 35C batteries, so I expect even more punch when I get my 90C batteries. :)

Nice truck, you need a wheelie bar like the stampede uses. My stampede will hit 55 mph on 3s but it is not controllable. I use 2s lipos and it will top out in the high 40's and it is semi drivable. Looks like fun now go to home depot and get some bulk chain and make a set of chains in case you get any snow, they will make that truck wheelie on snow and ice.

This does have a wheelie bar, but it's very high, so this thing pretty much stands on end when doing wheelies. :) I have a Stampede VXL too, and it's a fun truck. :)

Yes it is. I got mine on a trade I didn't have a truck and my buddy wanted a quad I traded him an RC Logger eye one extreme for the stampede. I converted mine to brushless but it is just the two wheel drive.

Back Flip - Full throttle from 0 Mph hit brakes after one backflip ... Two Back flips - Full Throttle from Zero MPH let wheels touch then full throttle again ( Traction / wheels and surface matter a lot ... and heavy oil or Locked diffs / diff brain makes stunts easier ) (( if you want pure stunt mode ! remove all the shock oil and just go with bouncy springs , when you accelerate from 0 and compress the springs as you wheelie they just bounce you higher in your backflip )) but it can make you bouncy on all landings you jump )) i like pure speed and air more than stunts and flips XD

That is what I was doing, but I think 35C batteries just don't have the punch to do backflips. I have new 90C batteries now that I will try again with. And, apparently you didn't watch my jumping video?

Flyin' Ryan RC better batts could help , or changing the gearing and bigger / heavier tires or just making the stock tires heavier would help it do flips ... also your punch and brake settings in your ESC options ... there are a ton of tricks people do to make cars do what they want... just trying to help you get to where you wanna be. XD

I keep things stock, for the sake of my reviews and letting people know what to expect right out of the box. :) According to ARRMA marketing, I'm pretty sure they are claiming this is capable of backflips as it comes right out of the box. :)

That could be interesting, but any time I've tried putting cameras on ground vehicles, the footage is just insanely shaky. It's almost like you'd need some sort of gimbal for an FPV camera. haha
