Really like the Outcast’s layout but too many issues… my small fleet of 8 RCs got my hands full can’t imagine 140 RCs😲😲😲

Hey Earl great video as always!!!!! I put hot racing knuckles on my 8s outcast exb and haven't had a problem since.... They have triple bearings and they have dual insert locks for the pillow balls ..... But I only have 1 outcast to buy for..... 😂.....

The m2c caps haven't failed me yet I'm happy to say HOWEVER I haven't given them much opportunity to fail because most of the arms I reassemble with a dab of loktite cause it feels stronger to me that way . I found your experience here to be a shock because I haven't had most of these issues . I just have bearings blowing out but that's from about 150 packs rain or shine in the past year . I may start that rebuild today

I always check my pivot balls before I go out for a run too. I still have the stock ones. Luckily I haven't broken anything yet! Just a part of maintenance? I haven't had issues with the body clip retainers yet. I haven't had mine for a year yet, but who knows how long it sat in the box? I really like how it drives and handles!

To be fair, Arrma is known for having some of the fastest cars on the market, at the speed and durability they provide it’s worth running down a few rubber bits. It’s similar to a real car the longer it sits the more maintenance It’s going to need.

My Tamiya Clod Buster sat for 30 years and didnt have this many problems the tires are still good!! Siting in a Florida garage too. Some of the plastic control arms were weak with age other than that I put a new battery in it and it ran

All my armmas are v1's ! After the v2' s came out and seen all the problems people were having I just quit buying them! All my V1's rarely break! Depending on how hard I bash them! Love the videos earl ! Keep up the great work!

Hmmm, I've had my Outcast 8S for 2 years and had no issues with the plastic or rubber. I have added power and so need to make sure to keep the tires glued but I think your issues are from either the chemical you clean with or the heat and cold cycles in your storage area.

I make sure to reglue all RTR wheels DAY ONE before it touches the dirt - let set overnight and no issues leaving the trucks on shelves during the winter.

Loctite works well with plastic threads especially metal into plastic.

I live in Florida and we have the extreme weather here and I keep all my rc cars inside under air period. I see guys put them in their garage or storage and in a couple months they have these type issues.

Man that does suck about the stuff just falling apart. Maybe it’s the warm and dry Cali weather? I have had mine in my basement for 2 years just tires ungluing as usual. Thanks for the arrma video I’m not a traxxas fan since they didn’t give me any customer support

My front diff leaked on me twice now on the oc8s, rear seems to fine, I replaced both Orings each time I serviced the diff. Seems to always be driver side. Might try a new housing next time. I hate diffs..lol… might just get fed up and spool it and switch rear and front. Great video. Spot on with the outcast issues. Don’t have an xmaxx to compare.

Pivot balls do not back themselves off sitting on the shelf. Body clips do not fall out sitting on the shelf. It happens on your last run and you tell yourself you'll fix it but 3 months later you forget about it.

Ya know honestly it’s a combo of the heat where you live dry air and the dirt sand that lays on the rubber straps that dirt will literally pull moisture out of the rubber causing dry rot along with the dry air. A lot of soaps cleaning will pull moisture out of the rubber as well.

Yes and that why no soap is used just 3D dry was it’s what I use on my daily 22year old BMW I bought new and the plastic trim restorer from them as well but never used on the body just the plastic as I use this company stuff as it’s water base products 👍💯I feel weather is the issue for sure 💯

Honestly I don’t like pivot ball setups. I prefer regular hubs c-hubs preferably hubs with bearings for smooth steering. The bearings in the hubs make life so much easier for our servos.

Wow that's nutts.. I went straight out to my garage and checked all my retainer clips .. lucky there all ok. .take it your going to do the diff fluids on the front and rear of the red one. . You living in a hot dry climate, probably doesn’t help and you store them in your garage as well from your videos I’ve seen maybe trying to store them in your house where it’s cooler and lube. The rubber components might help just a thought.

Only thing I've seen do that are bio degradable rubber bands and carrier bags that have been left for a shirt period of time. They may have been using some biodegradable materials to make them

I have the rtr outcast 8s bunch of upgrades m2c, just bash it Rc, vitavon xlx2 800kv , the body pins degrading I think has to do with your weather Because I had my outcast 2 years and no issues here

I believe the straps and rubber, clips are falling apart because you live in California. The weather there causes this to happen. Never heard of this stuff happing in the northeast. 🤔

Maybe because of the cleaner you're using? 🤔 I have a big rock that's sat almost a year and not close to falling apart. Alcohol does deteriorate rubber, looks like you use it alot. Did you say you have to replace xmaxx fans all the time cuz they always break

3D automotive products are water base but I use the same products on all my rc cars 🤔only the arrma 8s line has had the issue

The rubber on your truck falling apart? Is your washer and dryer in the same room... (garage) Usually your washer puts out a alkaline fumes. And the dryer puts out caustic fumes. That would explain why.

How can you say it’s falling apart sitting there because the body retainers ripped. Sorry but that happens in like what the first couple days after pulling on them a bunch Actually I’m shocked for how much you bash your Rc looks new for it being 2 years old. My Outcast 6s at 2 years old looks like it’s 10 years old and still holding strong. Here’s the thing all my jump spots landing areas consist of hard pack crush gravel Quarry stone crushed into road material. Every dirt road we got is like that here it’s unavoidable. I am the only 1 person who punched a hole rigjt through a M2C chassis from a full speed send the take off impact was what blew the hole through it Besides that I have blown diff cases off and other bad breaks. But never once have I had something break sitting on a shelf.

This is the second time the differential’s leaked down sitting in the description I have a link to the unboxing of the rtr outcast and the whole rc was covered in fluid leaks brand new so when the exp was released I got a second one now I own 2 Kraton 8s and 2 outcast 8s and when all 4 are having the same issues then it becomes an issue I talk about 🤷🏻‍♂️one could be a defect 2 could be bad luck defects but 4 becomes an issue in my eyes and weather plays a big part in rubber dry rotting as I use only water base products on my rc cars but live in a dry climate and only a few have mentioned that 👍

Thank you for clarifying your answer. I really do pride on what’s what And as far as I know the RC game is just killing it with new tough innovative designs and materials.
