Those are some awesome passes! Glad to see this rig can handle 6s. I'm running mine on 4s with a spool but wasn't sure if I'd blow it apart on 6s. This confirms for me that it can be done. Great video. Keep up the great work!

I'm so envious of your spot lol! Blacktop looks beautiful and it's long and not a street and seems totally devoid of other people. I just got the castle 1515 2200kv and it seems like a beast even on 36/26 spur and pinion. I just switched to much thicker diff fluid tonight. I'm hoping it will handle the power better.

Good luck with the Vendetta and let me know how it goes. The 1515 is great, but I’m starting to max it out now, although I think it has a 145-150 in it before I retire the motor. I’ve been real fortunate being able to run there. It’s around 1500’ long, so perfect for the speeds I’m currently at. I actually have an airport right down the street from this spot that is willing to let me run, just have to give them notice before coming and only on weekends, which makes sense. Good luck!!

Man very nice. I can't keep mine on the ground. At 108 it takes off in the air. So I'm running specktrum 150a 2050 combo and 34/32 spur/pinion on 6s. I just got the 3d printed splitter and side skirts. But broke the splitter yesterday doing flips in the air. I'm gonna take my wing off myself and try again and I did convert to 17mm and threw some grps yesterday after running. I know it's got more but can't keep it planted. Any ideas? Thanks and nice run. I have plenty of real estate to run my cars too. Makes it nice.

@@riskaddictionrc when you mount the front splitter make sure it's not angled up. Due to the factory molding of the chassis my splitter initially was angled up. I ended up printing a small angled spacer to go between the splitter and the chassis where it mounts to make the splitter angle a degree or two downwards. I had flips at around 70mph prior to doing that. I haven't had even the slightest hint of the nose lifting since then and I've been in the 80's and 90's and up to 107 once so far running into the wind and with the wind behind me.

Tie strapped my suspension down and clocked 90mph easily my PB!! Once the rear evens out it’s smooth sailing!! 136mph is crazy and I’ll leave it to this guy right here 😂😂

Bro watch out and be safe with those speed runs. My Typhon lost control at about 70 mph and it immediately crashed into my foot before I knew what happened. Spent the day in the ER due to a mid-shaft fracture on the right side of my right foot. I'd recommend standing elevated, like in the back of a pickup truck. Also swept me off my feet, so I could've easily broken something else on the fall down. Nonetheless, sweet run dude!

Crazy!! Hope you’re doing better man. Yeah, it was definitely a close call and it’s normally about 10ft further but it came up off a slight hump in the road on the start and shifted my way slightly. Live and learn. I will definitely be bringing something to prop up on next time.

I agree. I used to get out inthe road to see better and then walk backwards once the car was going straight. Had a couple close calls so now I use a small 3 step, step ladder and stand in front on my 1:1 car. I saw a buddy break both bones in his leg and he tried to jump. Anyway that's a very fast car you have and a great pass

I have 2 of these, one thats 3s running 73mph with 50/26 gearing and the car is totally stable and never crashes. The 2nd one is a 130amp esc with 4s i wanted to reach 100mph but at 84mph and its a uncontrolable nightmare that crashes all the time. Maybe avc is off, ive tried adjusting camber, alignment, height. Any help?

I would 100% ditch the spektrum radio, radiolink all the way. Too much power too quickly can cause the car to become unstable at higher speeds. Try to establish good trigger control and also utiliize throttle speed on the transmitter to help with speed ramp up slowly. These smaller plastic chassis cars are more difficult to get stable because of their shorter wheel base, but going through and adding washers to wheel hubs and a-arms helps eliminate slop, which cause an unstable car. I do have a video going over that, which I will add below. Also, getting wheels that will not ballon will help as well. The more surface contact you have, the more grip, in turn straighter run. You could also have too much downforce in the rear causing the front to come up more than it should. This will cause the front wheels to loose contact with the road and turning will become very difficult. Hope this helps. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q36tfGuZjr6NZ7M

So the idea is to try to reduce the amount of damage the GRPs cause when ballooning. It actually does a decent job.

@@speeedy_rc Ok thanks for the reply, at first i thought it might have been to restrict airflow out of the wing vents for aerodynamic purposes lol. Instead of something as simple as tire rub on the body, yeah i put the tape on most of my bodies where the tires rub taking the body paint off. Nothing worse on a brand new body having the paint rubbed of on the first run.

Good run,an work to get there....ya definitely got a 140 with a warm pack...about time for a new motor...about outa gears to use....2800-3200kv would be ideal for 6s..tp power is about only option

Yeah, motor can get two passes in before it gets too hot. Had I not flipped on that second pass it would likely have been a 140 pass. Motor is about tapped out, but I’m really impressed of how capable it is for the price. Could go 1:1 but I’m about maxed out on the mmx8s, was pushing 360-370 amps on this set up.

@@speeedy_rc I've never owned a castle motor, but I'd think that 2200kv would have more in it on 6s..the tppower 4050 an 4060 cm motors do the best from what I've tried on 3s I did a best of 124 with mmx8s an tp4050cm 3800kv..on 4s did 135 with mmx8s tp4060cm-3480kv at 400a ,max for esc..you should be in the 150s on 6s.id get the tp4060cm-2610kv for 6s..these cm motors have a much lower max amps compared to there regular motors an they don't pull as much amps...tp4050cm-3200kv another good 1
